From the 400 Metres until the 300 Metres was held up for clear running behind ORIENTAL SMOKE. When improving to the inside of ORIENTAL SMOKE after the 300 Metres raced tight to the inside of that runner for some distance thereafter and approaching the 200 Metres made contact with ORIENTAL SMOKE. Sent for sampling post-race.

Slightly inconvenienced at start, raced behind midfield on the inside, angled out approaching 500M, showed limited response early in straight, not enough room near 200M, ran on evenly to the line. (Roarer.) (See Racing Incidents.)

Prior to declaring weighed-in, the Stewards gave consideration whether the horse had been afforded a fair start. After interviewing Jockey C Y Ho, they established that as the start was effected KING MILES lowered its head and as a consequence missed the start. As the Stewards were satisfied that such occurrence was simultaneous to the start being effected, KING MILES was declared a starter.

Began well from a wide draw, raced prominently on the outside, challenged the leader turning in, peaked on run 250M, weakened gradually inside final furlong. (See Racing Incidents.)

Bumped at the start. In the Home Straight lay out and approaching the winning post became awkwardly placed close to KING MILES and as a consequence could not be ridden out to the finish. After the event, B Avdulla stated that the intention was to hold a more forward position but despite riding his mount along in the early stages BEAUTY GLORY failed to show sufficient pace to do so.

Bumped start, raced at rear on the outside, 9 lengths back turning in, made no impression in straight.

After the event, L Hewitson stated that his mount enjoyed a good run during the race but failed to quicken when asked for an effort in the Home Straight and he could offer no excuse for his mount’s performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

After the event, M L Yeung reported that from a wide barrier and his mount stepping up in distance, he was requested to take up a more forward position. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Jumped only fairly and then bumped with BEAUTY GLORY. Approaching the 800 Metres hung out and appeared to strike the heels of SUPER GOLDI, resulting in TIMES TABLE blundering, becoming unbalanced and dislodging its rider M Chadwick. M Chadwick was treated by the medical officers and transported to hospital for further observation. Before being allowed to race again, TIMES TABLE will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial around a bend in Hong Kong. <23/10/2024 20 October 2024 Sha Tin Racemeeting – Race 10 (120)> The Stewards finalized their inquiry into the reason for M Chadwick being dislodged from TIMES TABLE. After taking evidence from Jockey Chadwick, he confirmed that his mount hung out across the heels of SUPER GOLDI approaching the 800 Metres, resulting in it striking the heels of SUPER GOLDI, blundering badly and M Chadwick being dislodged. As previously advised, TIMES TABLE will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial around a bend in Hong Kong.
