Began well from gate 10, positioned 1 to 2 lengths behind the leader on the stands' rail early, dropped towards rear gradually after passing 600M, failed to make any progress final 300M.

Briefly held up for clear running near the 400 Metres behind SUPERB GUY. Over the concluding stages had difficulty obtaining clear running when it improved behind SUPERB GUY. M L Yeung stated that the intention was to hold an on-pace position. He said when RUN YES RUN jumped only fairly and did not show pace it settled further back than intended.

Moderately away, raced prominently on the middle track, peaked 300M, weakened gradually final 150M.

Passing the 900 Metres shifted out when being steadied to avoid WINNING CIGAR.

Average to begin, positioned a length or so back on the middle track, hard ridden from 250M, showed very good response, took the lead 50M, kept on well to the line and scored.

Jumped awkwardly, positioned 1-1/2L behind the leader on the middle track, hard ridden from 300M but only showed limited response, weakened gradually inside final furlong.

Jumped awkwardly. Near the 900 Metres was steadied and shifted out to avoid SPARKLE AND GOLD when that runner was being retired from the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have blood at the right nostril. An endoscopic examination conducted on GOLDEN FORTUNE found that there was no blood in its trachea and therefore the blood in the nostril was determined to be not coming from the lungs and as such the horse was deemed not to have bled.

Jumped only fairly. Near the 900 Metres was steadied to avoid SPARKLE AND GOLD when that runner was being retired from the event. Between the 300 Metres and the 200 Metres had some difficulty obtaining clear running when improving between SPEEDY TRIDENT and WINNING CIGAR, both of which shifted ground slightly. Z Purton stated that after settling back in the field his mount found it difficult to make up ground in the Home Straight from that position. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Jumped only fairly. When questioned M Chadwick stated that near the 900 Metres he felt the horse’s action change and when he became concerned that there was something amiss he retired the horse from the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Before being allowed to race again, SPARKLE AND GOLD will be subjected to an official veterinary examination which must include additional diagnostic assessments. <3/6/2026 9 May 2026 Sha Tin Racemeeting – Race 3 (676)> Additional diagnostic assessments performed on the horse did not reveal any significant findings.
