Made contact shortly after start, raced behind midfield on the inside, moved a bit closer along the rail on turn, finished off well to make frame.

A Atzeni pleaded guilty to a careless riding charge for causing interference near the 700 Metres (see FULL OF LAUGHTER).

When commencing to close the race off shifted to the outside of FUN N FUN TOGETHER passing the 150 Metres to continue into clear running.

Jumped well, raced 2 wide better than midfield, hard ridden from 450M, kept on well in straight to take a place, not quite able to challenge.

A Badel stated that his intention was to be more forward, however, after beginning only fairly and then being tightened shortly after the start he was obliged to settle further back in the field than intended.

Jumped well, sent forward to take the lead, challenged by rival turning in, headed near 400M, weakened final 300M. (See Racing Incidents.)

Shortly after the start was bumped. Near the 350 Metres became unbalanced when it shifted in towards the running rail. When questioned Apprentice P N Wong stated that her instructions were to lead. She said after beginning only fairly and being crowded by NOTTHESILLYONE her intention was to maintain a position to the outside of NOTTHESILLYONE in the early stages. She said when MAPOGO raced keenly she was unable to maintain her position to the outside of NOTTHESILLYONE which resulted in MAPOGO leading the event. She added that due to the manner the horse raced in the early and middle stages it was left without a finishing effort in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Jumped with them, raced towards rear on the outside, 7 to 8 lengths back turning in, failed to close off in straight.

A Atzeni (GOOD CHAP) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that near the 700 Metres he allowed his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of FULL OF LAUGHTER, resulting in FULL OF LAUGHTER having to be checked. A Atzeni was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence on Wednesday, 10 June 2026 and to expire on Sunday, 14 June 2026 on which day he may resume race riding (2 Hong Kong racedays). In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 2 and also considered his good race riding record.

C L Chau stated that the intention was to be more forward, however, his mount did not show sufficient pace in the early stages to do so. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Taken back from gate 12, raced towards rear on the inside, a bit closer on turn, made no impression in straight.

Began awkwardly and shortly after was bumped by SILVER SPURS which shifted out.

Began well from gate 1, raced better than midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, made some progress early in straight, peaked 150M, weakened gradually close home.

Shifted out shortly after the start and bumped GOOD LUCK BABE. Raced very wide and without cover for the majority of the event. J Moreira could offer no explanation for the horse’s disappointing performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Out with rest, positioned 4-1/2L behind the leader on the inside, commenced move near 500M, showed very good response in straight, took the lead approaching 100M, kept on well to the line and scored.

The performance of SKY PHOENIX, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, SKY PHOENIX will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
