Jumped only fairly. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Z Purton stated that the instructions were to settle the horse where comfortable. He said in the early stages he endeavoured to find cover, however, STORM MIRROR raced keenly and did not settle. He added in the Home Straight STORM MIRROR finished the race off only fairly. Trainer P C Ng stated that he had expected the horse to race in a more forward position and was disadvantaged by the manner in which it raced throughout the early and middle stages. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.

Shifted in shortly after the start and was bumped. After being crossed by HERO RISING near the 600 Metres was then shifted to the outside of HERO RISING and made contact with MEGA MASTERMIND. K Teetan reported that his mount did not appreciate the "Good to Firm” track conditions. Trainer C H Yip advised that he had expected TOP TO SKY to lead the event and, in his opinion, was disadvantaged when HERO RISING and MEGA MASTERMIND pressured the horse in the lead. He also confirmed that Jockey Teetan had indicated that the horse did not appreciate the "Good to Firm” track conditions. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of TOP TO SKY, a last start winner, was considered disappointing. Before being allowed to race again, TOP TO SKY will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
