Began well from gate 1, raced better than midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, made some progress early in straight, peaked 150M, weakened gradually close home.

Sent for sampling post-race. K Teetan was fined the sum of $2,000 in relation to using his whip in a manner where the hand holding the whip was above shoulder height on two occasions over the final 50 Metres.

Out with rest, positioned 4-1/2L behind the leader on the inside, commenced move near 500M, showed very good response in straight, took the lead approaching 100M, kept on well to the line and scored.

Taken back from gate 12, raced towards rear on the inside, a bit closer on turn, made no impression in straight.

Shortly after the start ran out and away from ONE MAN SHOW. Raced keenly in the early stages and making the turn near the 700 Metres hung out and ran very wide on the track. The racing manners and performance of WORD OF KINDNESS, which finished tailed out, were considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, WORD OF KINDNESS will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in consecutive barrier trials around a bend and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
