Average to begin, raced 2 wide towards rear, 5-1/2L back turning in, made good progress in straight without threatening the first few.

Began well from gate 1, positioned 1-1/4L behind the leader on rail, easy run to turn, showed good response in straight, took the lead 150M, kept on well but unable to hold off the winner close home.

Taken back from the widest draw, raced at rear on the inside, saved ground on turn, made good progress early in straight, no clear run approaching 150M, made no progress thereafter.

Jumped only fairly. Noted to have lost its left front plate after the race.

Clean jump, raced 2 wide better than midfield, a length or so back turning in, took the lead approaching 200M, peaked and headed 150M, ran on evenly to the line. (See Racing Incidents.)

Jumped awkwardly. From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Between the 700 Metres and the 500 Metres raced tight to the inside of CAP FERRAT when improving into a narrow run to the inside of CAP FERRAT.

Began awkwardly, raced 2 wide behind midfield, 5 lengths back turning in, made no progress in straight.

Between the 400 Metres and the 200 Metres was badly held up for clear running behind LUCKY SWEYNESSE. For some distance near the 100 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when being shifted to the outside of COPARTNER PRANCE.

Made contact at start, sent forward to take the lead, led by 1/4L turning in, kept on well early in straight, peaked and headed approaching 200M, weakened thereafter.

K C Leung stated that his mount was able to obtain a favourable position behind the lead in the early and middle stages. He said on entering the Home Straight he endeavoured to improve between RED LION and COPARTNER PRANCE, however, had difficulty obtaining clear running between the 400 Metres and the 250 Metres after which LUCKY SWEYNESSSE did not respond to his riding. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. <27/4/2026 Additional Veterinary Report> LUCKY SWEYNESSE, which performed disappointingly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings. LUCKY SWEYNESSE was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer K L Man this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its right front leg. Before being allowed to race again, LUCKY SWEYNESSE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Taken back to race 3 wide towards rear, 6 lengths or so back, same margin back on turn, made no impression in straight.

Over-raced in the early and middle stages. Between the 300 Metres and the 200 Metres was held up for clear running behind LUCKY SWEYNESSE. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Slightly slow out, raced in midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, unable to obtain clear run until final 50M, finished off evenly.

Jumped only fairly and then was bumped by INVINCIBLE IBIS which shifted out slightly. Near the 1400 Metres was bumped by RED LION which shifted in slightly, resulting in JANTAR MANTAR shifting in and away from RED LION. When questioned Y Kawada stated that his mount did not travel well throughout the race and, in his opinion, was not suited by racing on the Sha Tin surface, particularly as it had raced disappointingly at its previous race start at Sha Tin on 8 December 2024. Trainer T Takano stated that JANTAR MANTAR had pleased him since arriving in Hong Kong and he had expected it to perform well, however, he could offer no explanation for the horse’s disappointing performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.
