Average to begin, raced in midfield on the inside, 3 lengths or so back, saved ground on turn, showed limited response early in straight, kept on same pace to the line. (See Racing Incidents.)

When questioned H Bowman stated that he was instructed to endeavour to take up a more forward position than its previous race starts if the horse commenced well. He said when his mount commenced well he elected to ride it forward to hold an on-pace position, particularly when the expected leader of the event NORTHERN FIRE BALL had been withdrawn at the Start. Trainer J Richards confirmed that he had requested Jockey Bowman to ride the horse in a positive manner tonight as STORMING DRAGON was carrying equal top weight of 135 lbs and, in his opinion, it would be difficult to make up ground from back in the field under that weight. Sent for sampling post-race.

Taken back from a wide draw, raced 2 wide towards rear, 4 lengths or so back turning in, finished off evenly.

Bumped at the start. L Ferraris was fined the sum of $5,000 in relation to using his whip in a manner where the hand holding the whip was above shoulder height on one occasion near the 150 Metres. Sent for sampling post-race.

Jumped with them, raced 2 wide, 3 lengths or so back, wider turning in, kept on evenly in straight.

Commenced well, raced in 2nd, 2 wide, travelled well to turn, challenged the leader after turning in, hit the front 100M, kept on well to the line and scored. (Blood in trachea.)

From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Taken back from gate 12, raced at rear, 4 to 5 lengths back turning in, made some progress in straight.

Approaching the 250 Metres made contact with ORIGIN OF FORM when it attempted to shift to the outside of MOTOR to obtain clear running. After obtaining clear running to the outside of MOTOR passing the 200 Metres QUARTZ LEGEND shifted out, resulting in its rider J Moreira having to stop riding and straighten. Sent for sampling post-race.

Jumped awkwardly and lost ground, raced at rear throughout, never a factor.

Bumped at the start. From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Making the turn after the 1000 Metres was hampered when taken wider by FLYING CHRISTIE. Held up making the Home Turn and in the early stages of the Home Straight and did not obtain clear running until near the 250 Metres. Approaching the 100 Metres was eased and shifted to the outside of QUARTZ LEGEND to continue into clear running. After being shifted to the outside of QUARTZ LEGEND after the 100 Metres PRESTIGE HALL lay in for a short distance and as a result was positioned close to the heels of QUARTZ LEGEND.

Began smartly from gate 1, sent forward to take the lead, travelled comfortably to turn, kept on well in straight but unable to hold off the winner final 100M.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Away with them, positioned 2 lengths behind the leader on the inside, saved ground on turn, peaked early in straight, weakened thereafter.

Approaching the 1000 Metres, when racing keenly, was steadied when crowded by MOTOR which was taken in by STORMING DRAGON (H Bowman). H Bowman was advised to exercise more care. ORIGIN OF FORM then continued to race keenly throughout the early and middle stages. Bumped approaching the 250 Metres. Passing the 200 Metres was hampered when taken wider by QUARTZ LEGEND.

Moderately away, raced behind midfield on outer, very wide turning in, finished off evenly.

Shortly after the start became unbalanced when racing in restricted room between CLOUD NINE and MOTOR, both of which shifted ground. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Average to begin, raced 3 wide in midfield, similar position on turn, finished off evenly.

Sustained superficial abrasions to the right hock whilst being transported to the course, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race. Jumped only fairly. After the 1000 Metres got its head up when being steadied to avoid ORIGIN OF FORM when that runner gave ground whilst being steadied.

Jumped well, raced 3 wide with no cover, a length or so back, peaked on turn, weakened early in straight when hard run took toll.

Was withdrawn at the Start by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice after it was found to be lame in its left front leg. Before being allowed to race again, NORTHERN FIRE BALL will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Slightly slow out, raced 2 wide better than midfield, 3 wide turning in, kept on well in straight to take a place without threatening.

Was a late withdrawal acting on veterinary advice after it was found to be displaying an irregular heart rhythm. Before being allowed to race again, TEAM TEAM FOLKS will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
