Shifted in at the start and made contact with WIN EASE. K Teetan stated that the instructions were to ride the horse in a conservative manner in the early stages. He said when his mount jumped well and was caught wide he was obliged to hold a more forward position than instructed. He added in the early stages of the Home Straight his mount was racing greenly and lay in. He said when contacted on the shoulder by LAKESHORE HERO, VIVA FIRECRACKER became badly unbalanced as a consequence.

Average to begin, raced 3 wide in midfield, similar position on turn, finished off evenly.

Taken back from gate 12, raced at rear, 4 to 5 lengths back turning in, made some progress in straight.

Bumped with THE AZURE on jumping due to both runners shifting ground. M F Poon stated that after the 300 Metres he endeavoured to improve to the outside of FRANTANCK to obtain clear running. He said as he did so LAKESHORE HERO lay in which required him to make more effort to shift his mount out. He said when improving to the outside of FRANTANCK, LAKESHORE HERO made contact with VIVA FIRECRACKER which resulted in VIVA FIRECRACKER becoming badly unbalanced and LAKESHORE HERO then having to be steadied to avoid FRANTANCK. M F Poon was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances. After being shifted to the inside of FRANTANCK to obtain clear running LAKESHORE HERO was then held up for clear running between the 250 Metres and the 150 Metres.

Slightly slow out, raced 2 wide better than midfield, 3 wide turning in, kept on well in straight to take a place without threatening.

Began smartly from gate 1, sent forward to take the lead, travelled comfortably to turn, kept on well in straight but unable to hold off the winner final 100M.

Jumped only fairly and then made contact with LAKESHORE HERO due to both runners shifting ground. Between the 200 Metres and the 100 Metres raced tight between TAKE ACTION and RED BRICK WARRIOR which was being shifted out to obtain clear running.

Commenced well, raced in 2nd, 2 wide, travelled well to turn, challenged the leader after turning in, hit the front 100M, kept on well to the line and scored. (Blood in trachea.)

Jumped only fairly and shortly after the start was crowded by RUN RUN TIMING which shifted out. H Bentley stated that his mount had difficulty improving on the Home Turn when positioned behind TO INFINITY and once clear in the Home Straight finished the race off only fairly under riding. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Average to begin, raced in midfield on the inside, 3 lengths or so back, saved ground on turn, showed limited response early in straight, kept on same pace to the line. (See Racing Incidents.)

Bumped shortly after the start. A short distance later was steadied when crowded between VIVA FIRECRACKER which shifted out slightly and THE AZURE which was racing tight to the inside of LAKESHORE HERO.

Jumped well, raced 3 wide with no cover, a length or so back, peaked on turn, weakened early in straight when hard run took toll.

On jumping was bumped by VIVA FIRECRACKER which shifted in and away from STATE SECURITY. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
