Shifted out on jumping, raced 3 wide with cover slightly better than midfield, wider turning in, kept on well until crowded close home.

Sent for sampling post-race. A Atzeni was fined the sum of $5,000 in relation to using his whip in a manner where the hand holding the whip was above shoulder height on one occasion near the 450 Metres.

Blundered shortly after start, tracked leaders on the outside, challenged the leader turning in, took the lead early in straight, peaked and headed 75M, weakened gradually thereafter.
