Moderately away, raced 2 wide slightly behind midfield, there to turn, failed to make any progress in straight. (See Racing Incidents.)

Incident Report
After travelling a short distance shifted out and bumped CROSSBORDERDUDE. Between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when being shifted to the outside of CIRRUS SPEED. Sent for sampling post-race.

Began well from gate 1, raced in midfield on the inside, commenced move after passing 600M, 2 to 3 wide turning in, kept on well in straight to take 2nd, no threat to the winner.

From the outside barrier raced keenly in the early stages when being shifted across behind runners. Between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres was held up for clear running and after the 350 Metres was steadied to avoid MASTER PHOENIX when that runner did not quicken. Sent for sampling post-race.

Jumped well from gate 10, raced 2 wide better than midfield, 3 wide turning in, showed some response early in straight, peaked on run 200M, weakened thereafter.

After travelling a short distance was bumped by CALL ME SPARKLE. On a number of occasions between the 100 Metres and the 50 Metres made contact with MALPENSA due to both runners shifting ground. Sent for sampling post-race.

Average to begin, raced 3 wide in midfield, no cover for the majority of the race, showed limited response early in straight, kept on same pace to the line.

On a number of occasions between the 100 Metres and the 50 Metres made contact with CROSSBORDERDUDE due to both runners shifting ground. J Orman reported that his mount jumped awkwardly and as a result got its head up and struck him in the face. Trainer W Y So confirmed that Jockey Orman was given the option of taking up a forward position if his mount commenced well enough to do so.

Away with them, raced 2 wide slightly better than midfield, 3 wide turning in, kept on evenly in straight.

Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. M F Poon reported that the connections had expected him to settle behind midfield. He said when CIRRUS SPEED jumped well today he was able to obtain a more forward position than its previous race starts.

Bumped on jumping, sent forward to race in 2nd, 2 wide, there to turn, peaked early in straight, weakened thereafter.

Noted to have blood at its mouth on arrival at the Start, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race. Held up for clear running between the 450 Metres and the 300 Metres. When commencing to finish the race off well became held up for clear running over the final 50 Metres behind CIRRUS SPEED and as a result was not ridden out to the finish of the event. <16/3/2026 Additional Veterinary Report>The Veterinary Surgeon reported that SEA CHARIOT was lame in its left front leg on the morning after racing. Before being allowed to race again, SEA CHARIOT will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Out with rest, raced 2 wide towards rear, similar position on turn, made minor progress in straight.

Jumped only fairly. Held up for clear running between the 450 Metres and the 350 Metres. Over the final 50 Metres could not be ridden out when held up behind MALPENSA.

M Chadwick reported that the intention was to lead the event. He said when RUBY SAILING was slow to begin it settled in a midfield position where it raced keenly.

Slightly slow out, raced behind midfield on the inside, hard ridden from 500M but showed no response, weakened and eased early in straight. (See Racing Incidents.)

Approaching the 800 Metres made contact with BRILLIANT WINNER when racing tight to the inside of BULLISH PRIDE. Was left racing very wide and without cover from the 600 Metres. H Bowman reported that his mount, which was having its first race start, raced greenly throughout the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Out in line, raced 3 wide with cover behind midfield, wider turning in, made no progress in straight.
