Taken back from a wide draw, raced at rear on the outside, very wide into straight, passed some tired runners in the run home. (See Racing Incidents.)

Incident Report
A short distance after the start became unbalanced when crowded for room between DAY DAY VICTORY and SPEEDY SMARTIE which shifted in despite the efforts of its rider. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. Sent for sampling post-race.

Began awkwardly, raced at rear on the inside, saved ground on turn, unable to obtain clear run early in straight, cleared near 250M, finished off well to take 2nd.

K Teetan was advised to exercise more care when allowing his mount to shift out over the concluding stages whilst riding it along with the whip and in doing so inconveniencing ONE MAN SHOW and JUICY DRAGON by taking both runners wider. Sent for sampling post-race.

Jumped with them, raced 2 wide behind midfield, angled out 600M, very wide turning in, made good progress early in straight, peaked on run 100M, ran on evenly to the line.

Crowded soon after the start. Taken wider over the concluding stages by SPEEDY SMARTIE which shifted out.

Began well from gate 12, raced 3 wide better than midfield, no cover throughout, peaked early in straight, weakened final furlong.

Approaching the 300 Metres became unbalanced when bumped by ONE MAN SHOW which was being shifted to the outside of SPEEDY SMARTIE to improve. Taken wider over the concluding stages by ONE MAN SHOW which was taken out by SPEEDY SMARTIE. As a result C Y Ho was unable to ride his mount out fully to the winning post when awkwardly placed on the heels of GOOD CHAP.

Bumped start and unbalanced, raced 2 wide towards rear, 5 to 6 lengths back turning in, made no impression in straight.

L Ferraris reported that his mount failed to run on in the Home Straight after failing to handle the pressure in the early and middle stages from SKY CAP which was racing to its outside. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Began well, raced 3 wide with cover in midfield, 3 lengths back turning in, showed very good response in straight, took the lead 200M, ran on very well to the line.

Moderately away from gate 1, sat right behind the leader on the inside, saved ground on turn, unable to obtain clear run in straight.

Y L Chung could offer no explanation for his mount’s performance which was, in his opinion, disappointing. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Jumped well from the widest draw, raced prominently, 2 wide, 1/2L back turning in, took the lead approaching 250M, peaked and headed 200M, weakened final 100M.

Out with rest, raced slightly behind midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, no clear run until approaching 150M, finished off well to make frame without threatening.

Apprentice E C W Wong reported that his mount had to do a lot of work in the early stages to take up a forward position and, in his opinion, failed to handle the All Weather surface today at its first attempt. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Slightly slow out, taken back to race behind midfield on the inside, angled out after passing 600M, 4 lengths back turning in, no clear run early in straight, inconvenienced near 250M, made no progress thereafter.

After being a little slow to begin was then checked when crowded for room between FORERUNNER and LUCKY SECRET which shifted in and away from ONE MAN SHOW which was also taken in by NOTTHESILLYONE despite the efforts of its rider. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
