Out with rest, taken back to race towards rear on the outside, 5-1/4L back turning in, made very good progress in straight to take a place, no threat to the first two.

Slightly slow out from the widest draw, raced at rear on the inside, saved ground on turn, kept to inside after straightening and made some progress until not enough room final 100M.

Taken back from a wide draw, raced at rear on the outside, moved a bit closer after passing 1300M, made contact near 900M, 4 lengths or so back on turn, very wide turning in, weakened early in straight. (See Racing Incidents.)

Near the 850 Metres was steadied to avoid VIVA FIRECRACKER which shifted out when being steadied.

On jumping made contact with the right side of its starting gate and lost ground. Near the 900 Metres got its head up and became unbalanced when being steadied.

Bumped on the hindquarters on jumping, raced 2 wide slightly better than midfield, similar position on turn, kept on well early in straight, peaked approaching 100M, weakened thereafter.

Near the 850 Metres shifted in towards MASTER OF HUMOR and as a result was steadied to avoid that runner.

Shifted in at the start and was bumped. When questioned L Ferraris stated that leaving the 300 Metres he endeavoured to improve into a tight run between RIDING HIGH (L Hewitson) and CONRAD PATCH. He said when CLOUD NINE did not quicken and RIDING HIGH then shifted out, he was obliged to check his mount when disappointed for this run which resulted in CLOUD NINE shifting in and making heavy contact with LEAN MASTER. After considering the evidence the Stewards advised L Hewitson that in similar circumstances he should exercise more care and stop riding and straighten his mounts when they shift ground. Sent for sampling post-race.

Fast into stride, showed good speed to take the lead, led by 1/2L turning in, peaked and headed 200M, weakened approaching final 100M.

Bumped start, raced 2 wide, 4 lengths or so back, 3 wide on turn, finished off evenly. (Jockey dropped his left rein passing 100M.)

K C Leung reported that when caught to the outside of DAILY TROPHY in the early stages he had anticipated that horse going forward. He said when DAILY TROPHY remained racing wide he elected to come back to follow that runner to avoid covering additional ground. He added in the Home Straight his mount responded reasonably well to his riding. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, VICTORY CHAMPION will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Bumped start, raced 2 wide behind midfield, 3 wide after entering the back straight, made contact 900M, hard ridden approaching 550M, very wide into straight, finished off very strongly to score.

Near the 200 Metres became unbalanced when bumped heavily by CLOUD NINE which shifted in when being checked.

Blundered on jumping, raced in 2nd, 2 wide, allowed rival to cross near 1100M, 1 out 1 back on turn, kept on well early in straight, peaked 200M, ran on evenly to the line.

On jumping became unbalanced when bumped by CLOUD NINE which shifted in. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have blood in the right nostril. An endoscopic examination conducted on MASTER OF HUMOR found that there was no blood in its trachea and therefore the blood in the nostril was determined to be not coming from the lungs and as such the horse was deemed not to have bled.

Jumped with them, raced better than midfield on the outside, 2nd after entering the back straight, 1/2L back turning in, hit the front 200M, kept on well but unable to hold off the winner final 100M.

Jumped only fairly. <19/1/2026 Additional Veterinary Report> The Veterinary Surgeon reported that EXTRAORDINARY GALL was lame in its left front leg on the morning after racing. Before being allowed to race again, EXTRAORDINARY GALL will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
