B Avdulla advised that the instructions were to go forward but not necessarily lead. He said when AKASHVANI showed good pace in the early stages it was able to lead without having to be pressured to do so. Sent for sampling post-race.

L Hewitson stated that the intention was to hold an on-pace position with cover. He said in the early stages he allowed TIN FOOK to cross his mount which resulted in RIDING TOGETHER settling slightly further back than intended when a number of runners continued forward wider on the track. He added in the Home Straight RIDING TOGETHER finished the race off one-paced and he was of the opinion the horse would be suited with the reapplication of visors or blinkers and to be ridden with more urgency in the early stages to hold a more forward position.
Blundered on jumping, raced in 2nd, 2 wide, allowed rival to cross near 1100M, 1 out 1 back on turn, kept on well early in straight, peaked 200M, ran on evenly to the line.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported.

Z Purton stated that the horse made an abnormal respiratory noise during the running of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. The performance of TIN FOOK was considered disappointing as compared to its previous race starts. Before being allowed to race again, TIN FOOK will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
