Bumped start, raced in midfield on the inside, angled out after passing 450M, 3 lengths or so back turning in, finished off very strongly to score.

Fast into stride, sent forward to take the lead, led by 3/4L turning in, kept on well early in straight, peaked and headed 75M, ran on evenly to take 2nd.

Shifted in at the start and made contact with EVER SMART. H Bentley stated that he was instructed to take up a forward position. He said SONIC BOOM was unable to show sufficient pace in the early stages to cross runners to his inside which resulted in his mount racing wide and without cover for the majority of the event. He added that as a consequence SONIC BOOM was unable to finish the race off when under pressure in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

D Probert was advised to exercise more care and to stop riding and straighten his mounts sooner when they shift ground whilst not clear. L Hewitson could offer no excuse for his mount’s disappointing performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
