Taken back from a wide draw, raced towards rear on the outside, 7 lengths back turning in, failed to make any progress in straight.

Clean jump, raced prominently, 2 wide, there to turn, hit the front 400M, kept on very well to the line, won comfortably.

L Ferraris stated that the intention was to hold a midfield position. He said when THE CONCENTRATION commenced well he was able to capitalise on the good start and hold a more forward position.

Began only fairly, positioned 3 wide with cover, 4 lengths or so back, similar position on turn, finished off well to take a place, no threat to the first two.

Between the 350 Metres and the 300 Metres was held up for clear running behind MAJESTIC DELIGHT.

Bumped shortly after start, sent forward to take the lead, travelled well to turn, peaked and headed 400M, weakened final 150M.

Held up for clear running between the 300 Metres and the 200 Metres. Near the 200 Metres was then steadied when disappointed for clear running between VON BAER and THE WAY WE WIN which was taken out by MAJESTIC DELIGHT when that runner shifted out when giving ground. Over the final 50 Metres was held up for clear running behind THE CONCENTRATION and could not be ridden out to the finish of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.

Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. C L Chau reported that in the Home Straight when placed under pressure his mount failed to respond and when not in a competitive position he eased it down over the final 200 Metres. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. The performance of ZETTA FORCE, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, ZETTA FORCE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
