Bumped shortly after start, positioned 2 wide, 1 to 2 lengths back, there to turn, peaked early in straight, ran on evenly to the line. (Lame right front leg next day morning.)

Near the 900 Metres made contact with the running rail when racing tight to the inside of TOURBILLON PRINCE which lay in and away from REAL GENTLEMAN. When questioned Z Purton stated that near the 1400 Metres after being crossed by BRILLIANT EXPRESS his mount became unbalanced when reluctant to race to the inside of other runners. Sent for sampling post-race.
Began awkwardly and made contact, raced behind midfield on the inside, saved ground throughout, showed limited response early in straight, weakened final furlong.

Raced keenly in the early stages. Making the Home Turn LOVERO (L Hewitson) was shifted to the outside of BRILLIANT EXPRESS and GRACIOUS EXPRESS to obtain clear running and as a consequence made contact with HERBAL STAR, resulting in HERBAL STAR being taken wider. L Hewitson was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground. Sent for sampling post-race.
Bumped shortly after start, sent forward to take the lead, travelled well to turn, peaked and headed 400M, weakened final 150M.

Jumped only fairly. Raced keenly in the early stages. Near the 200 Metres the whip of H Bowman was knocked from his grasp by the whip of J Orman, rider of ANODE.
Began well from the widest draw, raced slightly better than midfield but trapped wide, 3 lengths or so back, there to turn, showed limited response early in straight, kept on same pace to the line. (See Racing Incidents.)

Leaving the 1400 Metres was steadied when momentarily crowded by REAL GENTLEMAN which shifted in and away from HERBAL STAR after being taken in slightly by that runner. Over the concluding stages raced tight between LOVERO and FORTUNE BOY and as a result J McDonald had some difficulty riding his mount out to the finish of the race. Sent for sampling post-race.
Clean jump, raced prominently, 2 wide, there to turn, hit the front 400M, kept on very well to the line, won comfortably.

In the early stages raced keenly. A Atzeni stated that he was obliged to settle back in the field from the outside barrier. He said TIN FOOK raced keenly due to the pace of the event being run outside of standard time and as a consequence in the Home Straight was unable to finish the race off. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Taken back from gate 10, raced behind midfield on outer, bumped near 1200M, 5-1/2L back turning in, made no progress in straight. (See Racing Incidents.) (Blood in trachea.)
