Jumped well from a wide draw, sent forward to race in 2nd, 3 wide in the early stages, 2 wide from 800M, a length back turning in, peaked early in straight, weakened final 150M. (See Racing Incidents.)

Raced keenly throughout the early and middle stages and for some distance after the 700 Metres got its head up when being steadied away from FORTUNE WARRIOR. Near the 300 Metres was shifted to the outside of FORTUNE WARRIOR to obtain clear running and as a result made contact with EXCEED THE WISH.

Taken back from gate 9, raced 2 wide towards rear, a bit closer on turn, made no progress in straight.

After travelling a short distance was steadied when crowded between YOUNG STRIKER which was taken out by EXCEED THE WISH and HEALTHY HEALTHY which shifted in slightly. Near the 700 Metres made contact with FORTUNE WARRIOR when both runners contested a position behind HEALTHY HEALTHY. Lay in in the Home Straight.

Began only fairly from gate 1, showed no early speed, raced towards rear on the inside, saved ground on turn, showed limited response early in straight, no clear run 200M to 100M, ran on evenly to the line.

R Kingscote stated that after holding an on-pace position, when SAVVY TWINKLE improved to his outside leaving the 500 Metres, his mount came under pressure before finishing the race off only fairly in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, NEBRASKAN will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Sent for sampling post-race.

Jumped awkwardly. From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Bumped near the 300 Metres on the hindquarters and became unbalanced. L Hewitson stated that his mount travelled well during the race but did not quicken when asked for an effort in the Home Straight. He added that, in his view, the horse may be better suited by having the hood removed for its next race start. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Taken back from the widest draw, raced at tail, 6 lengths or so back turning in, passed some tired runners in straight. (See Racing Incidents.)

Began well from a wide draw, raced 2 wide slightly behind midfield early, commenced move 500M, very wide turning in, made very good progress early in straight, peaked on run 100M, ran on evenly to the line.

Near the 700 Metres made contact with WINNING CHAMPION when both runners contested a position behind HEALTHY HEALTHY. Passing the 300 Metres raced tight between LAKESHORE HERO and WINNING CHAMPION which lay in.

Began well, positioned 2 wide, 2 lengths or so back, wider turning in, finished off strongly, led close home.

Approaching the 1000 Metres was steadied when crowded between EXCEED THE WISH which shifted out and away from VON BAER and WINNING CHAMPION which shifted in slightly.
