Began well, positioned 2 wide, 2 lengths or so back, challenged the leader after turning in, peaked 100M, kept on evenly to the line.

Shortly after the start became unbalanced when crowded between DRAGON FOUR SEAS and GIANT LEAP. On returning back to the unsaddling stalls A Badel was dislodged but sustained no apparent injury in the incident. Noted to have lost its right hind plate after the race. Sent for sampling post-race.

Jumped awkwardly. From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Between the 250 Metres and the 150 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running and near the 200 Metres shifted out and bumped THE REVOLUTION. Sent for sampling post-race.
Away with them, sent forward to race prominently, 2 wide, there to turn, took the lead early in straight, kept on well early in straight, peaked and headed 50M, stayed on evenly to take 3rd.

Leaving the 500 Metres was bumped and taken wider by LUCY IN THE SKY which shifted out to improve. Apprentice E C W Wong was reprimanded for using the whip on 2 consecutive strides near the 300 Metres.
Taken back to race towards rear on the outside, a bit closer on turn, very wide into straight, made some progress early in straight, peaked 200M, kept on evenly to the line.

M Chadwick reported that he was obliged to make use of his mount in the early stages to hold a forward position. He said when unable to cross runners to his inside GOOD LUCK BABE was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event before giving ground in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Average to begin, positioned 3 wide better than midfield, 2 lengths or so back, wider turning in, showed very good response in straight, took the lead 50M, kept on well to hold off the challenger late.

Lay out on the Home Turn. When questioned L Hewitson stated that the instructions were to go forward. He said his mount was unsettled in the starting gates and for this reason jumped only fairly. He said when GOOD LUCK BABE and MUST GO, which were drawn next to him, jumped better than his mount he elected to ride FATAL BLOW in a conservative manner in the early stages to avoid covering additional ground. He added in the Home Straight his mount finished the race off only fairly and, in his opinion, would be better suited by returning to the turf and being stepped up in distance for its next race start. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

The performance of CAMP LAND, which finished tailed out on the second occasion in recent starts, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, CAMP LAND will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in consecutive barrier trials and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Bumped start, sent forward to take the lead, shared lead with rival on turn, peaked and headed 300M, weakened and eased thereafter. (Roarer.)

On jumping became unbalanced when crowded between SUPER JOY N FUN and WONDER KIT which shifted out. H Bowman reported that his mount, which was having its first race start on the All Weather surface, resented the kickback and did not travel throughout the event. He added that entering the Home Straight when not in a competitive position he discontinued in riding his mount out. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of DRAGON FOUR SEAS, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, DRAGON FOUR SEAS will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. <31/10/2025 Additional Veterinary Reports>DRAGON FOUR SEAS, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings. DRAGON FOUR SEAS was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer K L Man this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its right front leg. As previously advised, DRAGON FOUR SEAS will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination before being allowed to race again.
