Bumped start, raced at rear, 7 lengths or so back, moved a bit closer in the middle stages, 4 lengths or so back turning in, passed some tired runners in straight.

Began well from gate 12, sent forward to race prominently on the outside, shared lead on turn, peaked early in straight, weakened final 300M. (See Racing Incidents.)

When questioned regarding his riding M L Yeung stated that his mount was shifted across behind runners in the early stages from the outside barrier. He said throughout the event NO OTHER CHOICE appeared to resent the kickback, particularly as it was having its first race start on the All Weather surface. He said as a result making the Home Turn and in the Home Straight he shifted NO OTHER CHOICE to the outside to endeavour to improve into the event at which point the horse lay out. He said after shifting to the outside of DASH near the 200 Metres he then changed his whip from his left to his right hand to encourage the horse to respond but as he did so he had some difficulty in pulling the whip through. He added that once he was able to fully ride his mount along over the final 150 Metres NO OTHER CHOICE found the line strongly. Sent for sampling post-race.

Bumped start, raced 3 wide with cover in midfield, angled out 450M, made some progress in straight.

On jumping was contacted on the hindquarters and became unbalanced. Sent for sampling post-race.

Began well, positioned 2 wide, 2 lengths or so back, challenged the leader after turning in, peaked 100M, kept on evenly to the line.

Jumped awkwardly, shifted out and made contact with HE WAS YOU, resulting in JOLLY COMPANION losing ground.

Away with them, sent forward to race prominently, 2 wide, there to turn, took the lead early in straight, kept on well early in straight, peaked and headed 50M, stayed on evenly to take 3rd.

Bumped shortly after the start. Near the 350 Metres made contact with BEAUTY THUNDER and became unbalanced due to both runners shifting ground. Bumped approaching the winning post. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Taken back to race towards rear on the outside, a bit closer on turn, very wide into straight, made some progress early in straight, peaked 200M, kept on evenly to the line.

Near the 350 Metres made contact with NEW POWER and became unbalanced due to both runners shifting ground. Approaching the winning post shifted in and made contact with NEW POWER and as a result was not ridden out to the finish of the event. H Bentley stated that the instructions from a wide barrier were to go forward. He said when unable to cross runners to his inside his mount was left without a finishing effort in the Home Straight as it was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Bumped shortly after the start. After being crossed by HE WAS YOU near the 800 Metres commenced to race keenly and for some distance thereafter got its head up when steadied away from HE WAS YOU.

Began awkwardly and made contact, raced 2 wide behind midfield, angled out after passing 450M, finished off very strongly, just beaten by a narrow margin.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Average to begin, positioned 3 wide better than midfield, 2 lengths or so back, wider turning in, showed very good response in straight, took the lead 50M, kept on well to hold off the challenger late.

Bumped shortly after the start. L Ferraris stated that, in his opinion, the horse, which was having its first race start on the All Weather surface, did not appear to be comfortable racing on the track. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
