Average to begin, positioned 3 wide better than midfield, 2 lengths or so back, wider turning in, showed very good response in straight, took the lead 50M, kept on well to hold off the challenger late.

After the winning post raced tight to the inside of COURIER MAGIC (C L Chau) which shifted in when being ridden along. C L Chau was advised to exercise more care and to stop riding and straighten his mounts in similar circumstances. Sent for sampling post-race.

Began awkwardly and made contact, raced 2 wide behind midfield, angled out after passing 450M, finished off very strongly, just beaten by a narrow margin.

Jumped awkwardly, shifted out and made contact with ALL EYES ON ME. From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Leaving the 1300 Metres improved into a narrow run to the inside of GO GO GO and as a result got its head up when being steadied. Held up for clear running between the 450 Metres and the 350 Metres. Sent for sampling post-race.

Away with them, sent forward to race prominently, 2 wide, there to turn, took the lead early in straight, kept on well early in straight, peaked and headed 50M, stayed on evenly to take 3rd.

K Teetan reported that from the outside barrier his instructions were to take up a forward position. He added that when unable to cross runners to his inside HARRY’S HERO was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event before giving ground in the Home Straight. Trainer P F Yiu confirmed the instructions and said those instructions were issued on the basis that he did not want the horse to get too far back in the early stages and to endeavour to take advantage of the relatively light weight of 120 lbs.

Shortly after the start bumped with GO GO GO. M Chadwick reported that his mount made a respiratory noise during the running of the race and was under pressure from the 600 Metres before giving ground in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported.

Bumped at the start. Z Purton could offer no explanation for his mount’s disappointing performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported.
