When questioned regarding his riding in the Home Straight and as to whether there was an opportunity to shift to the outside of HELIOS EXPRESS sooner than he did B Avdulla stated that his instructions today were similar to those issued at previous starts to hold the horse up for one final run as RAGING BLIZZARD does not possess the ability to sustain a long run. He said with these instructions in mind he followed HELIOS EXPRESS into the Home Straight where he remained racing behind that horse. He added that he had expected HELIOS EXPRESS to take him into the event further than it did which required him then to shift to that runner’s outside near the 250 Metres where he placed his mount under full pressure and it ran home well. Trainer J Size confirmed the instructions issued. Sent for sampling post-race.
