Taken back from gate 9, raced behind midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, kept on evenly in straight.

Y L Chung was issued with a reprimand for using his whip in a manner where the hand holding the whip was above shoulder height on one occasion near the 150 Metres. Sent for sampling post-race.

Bumped on jumping, raced at tail, 8 lengths or so back turning in, made some progress early in straight, no clear run final 100M, eased close home.

Shortly after the start was crowded by BIG STRIDE which shifted in despite the efforts of its rider. In the early stages raced keenly and near the 1100 Metres got its head up when positioned close to TOY SOLTERO. Sent for sampling post-race.

Out in line, sent forward to race prominently on the outside, peaked on run 450M, weakened early in straight. (A laceration to the right hock.)

Bumped at the start. Had difficulty obtaining clear running between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres.

Shifted in shortly after start and made contact, positioned 2 lengths behind the leader, same margin back on turn, finished off evenly.

Slow to begin. Raced keenly in the middle stages. For a short distance near the 150 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when improving into a narrow run between WINNING MACHINE and GOOD LUCK BABE.

Out with rest, raced towards rear on the inside, saved ground on turn, showed limited response early in straight, weakened inside final furlong.

After the event M F Poon stated that the intention was to hold a midfield position. He said when DREAMING WINNER commenced well it was able to obtain a more forward position without being pressured to do so.

Bumped on jumping, raced at rear on the outside, 7 lengths or so back turning in, made good progress in straight to make frame without threatening.

Jumped awkwardly, made contact with SIGHT DREAMER and then from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Made contact shortly after start, tracked leaders on the inside, saved ground on turn, kept on well early in straight, peaked 150M, weakened gradually thereafter.

Slightly slow out, raced 2 wide in midfield, 5 lengths back turning in, peaked early in straight, kept on same pace to the line.

Average to begin, sent forward to take the lead, led by 1-3/4L turning in, kicked clear early in straight, kept on strongly to the line, easily scored.

After the event Apprentice E C W Wong advised the intention was to hold a forward position. He said THE HEIR jumped awkwardly and as a result lost ground when then obliged him to settle at the rear of the field. He added that in the Home Straight THE HEIR was unable to make up any appreciable ground from this position. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Moderately away from gate 1, raced in midfield on the inside, angled out approaching 450M, finished off well to take 2nd without threatening the winner.

Jumped only fairly and then made contact with EXCEL WONGCHOY. After the event H Bentley reported that when caught wide in the early stages he was obliged to make use of his mount to cross runners to his inside and lead to avoid being caught wide and without cover. He added as a consequence WINNING MACHINE did not finish the race off strongly in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Away with them, raced slightly behind midfield on outer, 7 lengths or so back turning in, failed to close off in straight.

Jumped only fairly. Leaving the 200 Metres endeavoured to obtain a narrow run to the inside of WINNING MACHINE which was commencing to give ground. When WINNING MACHINE shifted in near the 150 Metres SUPERB GUY was then checked when disappointed for this run and as a consequence could not be tested to the finish of the event.
