Began awkwardly, raced 3 wide with cover at rear, difficult to settle in the early and middle stages, very wide into straight, made no progress in the run home. (A small laceration to the right front leg.)

After the 200 Metres made contact with DEFINITIVE due to both runners shifting ground. After the event H Bentley reported that under pressure in the Home Straight his mount raced in a one-paced manner. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Jumped only fairly. Near the 1400 Metres was steadied when momentarily crowded by SAMARKAND (C L Chau) which shifted in before being corrected by its rider. C L Chau was reprimanded. After the 200 Metres made contact with ROMANTIC LAOS due to both runners shifting ground. After the event K Teetan reported that his mount, which was carrying the top weight of 134 lbs, did not travel well during the race. He said when asked for an effort in the Home Straight DEFINITIVE did not respond to his riding which he attributed to the horse carrying the top weight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Taken back from gate 12, raced at rear throughout, never a factor.

After the event K C Leung reported that his mount was unsuited by the race being run inside of standard time throughout the early and middle stages. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
