Noted to have an abrasion to the right hock at the holding stables, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to start. Bumped shortly after the start and became unbalanced. Sent for sampling post-race.

Jumped awkwardly and shortly after the start was steadied when crowded between MY INTELLIGENT and RAGNARR which was taken out by TRIUMPHANT WARRIOR.
Taken back from gate 11, raced behind midfield on the outside, very wide into straight, made some progress in the run home.

After the event Z Purton stated that his mount enjoyed a good run during the race and when asked for an effort in the Home Straight failed to respond and was disappointing. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, TRIUMPHANT WARRIOR will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Sent for sampling post-race.
Slightly slow out, raced towards rear on the inside, saved ground on turn, made no impression in straight. (See Racing Incidents.)

After the event M Chadwick stated that his mount did not appreciate racing inside other horses during the race. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Made contact shortly after start, raced in midfield on the outside, no cover throughout, peaked early in straight, weakened thereafter.

Began awkwardly, raced 3 wide with cover at rear, difficult to settle in the early and middle stages, very wide into straight, made no progress in the run home. (A small laceration to the right front leg.)

Jumped awkwardly. In the early stages raced keenly as its rider B Thompson endeavoured to shift his mount behind runners to obtain cover. SPORTIC WARRIOR continued to race keenly in the middle stages and approaching the 800 Metres shifted out when being steadied away from EVER SMART. Noted to have sustained a small laceration to the right front leg after the race.
Taken back from gate 12, raced at rear throughout, never a factor.

Shifted in on jumping, made contact with YOU’REMYEVERYTHING and became unbalanced. After the event Apprentice E C W Wong could offer no excuse for his mount’s disappointing performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea.
