Bumped start, raced 2 wide towards rear, 6 lengths or so back, same margin back on turn, made good progress in straight to be nearest on line.

Jumped awkwardly. From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. H Bowman pleaded guilty to a careless riding charge for causing interference over the concluding stages (see AESTHETICISM). Sent for sampling post-race.

Average to begin, positioned 2 lengths behind the leader, saved ground on turn, kept on well in straight to take 2nd, no threat to the winner.

Sent for sampling post-race.<29/5/2025 Additional Veterinary Reports> The Veterinary Surgeon reported that WIN BEAUTY VIVA was lame in its right front leg on the morning after racing. Before being allowed to race again, WIN BEAUTY VIVA will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Shifted in at start and bumped, raced 2 wide at rear, 7 to 8 lengths back turning in, one-paced in the run home.

H Bowman (JUMBO LEGEND) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that over the concluding stages he permitted his mount to shift in when not clear of AESTHETICISM, resulting in AESTHETICISM having to be checked to avoid JUMBO LEGEND. As Jockey Bowman is suspended from riding in races on 4 June 2025, 28 June 2025 and 1 July 2025, the Stewards substituted the one-meeting penalty to a $60,000 fine in accordance with standard practice. In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 2 and also considered his very good race riding record.

Jumped awkwardly and lost ground, positioned 5 lengths behind the leader on the inside, saved ground on turn, made some progress early in straight, peaked 150M, ran on same pace to the line.

On jumping was crowded between WIN BEAUTY VIVA and ALLCASH which shifted in despite the efforts of its rider.

Away well, sent forward to take the lead, led by 1-1/2L turning in, kept on well early in straight, peaked and headed 150M, weakened final 100M. (See Racing Incidents.)

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.

Jumped well, raced in 2nd, 1-1/2L back turning in, showed limited response early in straight, peaked 200M, weakened thereafter. (See Racing Incidents.)

After the event A Badel stated that he was given the option to hold a more forward position. He said when LUCKY TOUCH jumped well he elected to ride forward to cross runners to his inside and was able to lead the event. Trainer J Richards confirmed the instructions issued.

Taken back from the widest draw, raced at rear on the outside, 7 lengths back turning in, made good progress in straight without threatening.

Near the 100 Metres shifted in and made contact with ABSOLUTE HONOUR. Over the concluding stages could not be ridden out when held up between FLYING FORTRESS and SAMARKAND.

Moderately away from gate 1, raced in midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, peaked early in straight, weakened 150M, eased final 100M. (See Racing Incidents.)

Near the 100 Metres was bumped by HAMERON.

Away with them, raced 2 wide better than midfield, travelled well to turn, showed good response in straight, took the lead 150M, kept on strongly to the line and scored.

Noted to have sustained abrasions to the left hip and the tail base on arrival at Happy Valley. Was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race. After the event Apprentice E C W Wong stated that his mount again made a respiratory noise during the running of the race. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported.

Crowded start, raced at rear on the inside, saved ground on turn, made minor progress in straight.
