Shifted in abruptly at start and made contact, sent forward to take the lead, led by a length turning in, kept on well early in straight, peaked and headed 100M, weakened thereafter.

Jumped with them, positioned 2 lengths behind the leader on the inside, 2 wide turning in, no clear run early in straight, made minor progress thereafter.

Jumped only fairly and shortly after the start became unbalanced when it shifted out and made contact with HE WAS ME. For some distance near the 400 Metres was held up for clear running behind YODA’S CHOICE.

After the event B Thompson stated that the intention was to hold an on-pace position behind the leaders as connections had felt the horse would not show sufficient pace to lead the event. He said after being crossed by DO YOUR PART in the early stages YODA’S CHOICE settled slightly further back than anticipated when DO YOUR PART was crossed by KA YING GLORY.

Average to begin, raced slightly behind midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, not enough room early in straight, cleared 150M, finished off strongly to score by a neck.

Over the concluding stages made contact with SUPER LOVE due to both runners shifting ground. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Moderately away, raced towards rear on the outside, 4-1/2L back turning in, one-paced in the run home. (See Racing Incidents.)

Over the concluding stages made contact with MONARCH COUNTY due to both runners shifting ground.

Jumped well, raced in 2nd, a length behind the leader, easy run to turn, kept on well in straight to take a place, always just held.

Bumped at the start. Near the 200 Metres became unbalanced when crowded between MEOWTH which was taken in by MONARCH COUNTY (Apprentice E C W Wong) and BLING BLING GENIUS which was taken out by YODA’S CHOICE (B Thompson) which shifted out. Both Apprentice Wong and B Thompson were reprimanded. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. After the race the Veterinary Surgeon reported that BEAUTY LIVE had sustained a cut to the right hind leg.

Began well, raced in 3rd, 1-1/2L back, same margin back on turn, showed good response in straight, took the lead 100M, kept on well but unable to hold off the winner close home. (See Racing Incidents.)

Near the 200 Metres was steadied to avoid MONARCH COUNTY. When questioned H Bowman stated that his instructions were to go forward and lead if circumstances permitted. He said in the early stages he rode his mount along to comply with his instructions but MEOWTH did not show sufficient pace to hold a more forward position, particularly with the early stages of the event being run inside of standard time. He added in the Home Straight MEOWTH responded only fairly to his riding and after being crowded near the 200 Metres did not finish the race off thereafter. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Crowded on jumping, raced at tail, 7 lengths back, moved a bit closer along the rail on turn, made some headway in straight.

Jumped awkwardly. When being shifted across behind runners from a wide barrier got its head up and raced keenly in the early stages. In the Home Straight hung in and for some distance near the 400 Metres proved reluctant to shift to the outside of SUPER LOVE.

Away with them, raced 2 wide in midfield, 3 wide turning in, no clear run early in straight, cleared 200M, made some progress thereafter.

Jumped only fairly and shortly afterwards was checked when crowded by SPEEDY TRIDENT which was taken in by DO YOUR PART which shifted in despite the efforts of its rider.

On jumping bumped with BEAUTY LIVE and shortly after became unbalanced when it made contact with SUNNY Q. Leaving the 1300 Metres was eased when crowded between BEAUTY LIVE and MONARCH COUNTY.

Moderately away, raced 2 wide behind midfield, angled out after passing 700M, 2 to 3 lengths back turning in, kept on evenly in straight.
