In the middle stages raced keenly and approaching the 800 Metres was steadied away from KING MILES. For a short distance near the 100 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when improving behind SUPERB CAPITALIST. After the event K C Leung stated that with the expected fast pace of the event he anticipated taking up a midfield position. He said after beginning only fairly he elected to ride his mount in a conservative manner in the early stages to avoid racing wide.

Began well, positioned 2 lengths behind the leader on rail, saved ground on turn, showed limited response early in straight, weakened final 100M.

Jumped only fairly. After the event A Atzeni stated that with the expected fast early pace he was instructed to endeavour to find cover. He said as a result he rode his mount in a conservative manner in the early stages to comply with his instructions which resulted in FATAL BLOW settling midfield three wide with cover.

Began only fairly, raced in midfield on the inside, angled out 350M, kept on well in straight to make frame without threatening.

Raced keenly in the early stages. Making the first turn got its head up when being steadied away from BEAUTY INFINITY.

Bumped shortly after start, sent forward to take the lead, led by a length on turn, kept on well early in straight, peaked and headed 150M, weakened final 100M.

After the event M Chadwick reported that he was obliged to make some use of his mount to lead and further was disadvantaged by being pressured by SUPERB CAPITALIST. He added LUCKY PLANET did not stretch out in the Home Straight and attributed this to the racing surface which was showing some effects of light rain which had fallen during the meeting. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of LUCKY PLANET, a last start winner, was considered disappointing. Before being allowed to race again, LUCKY PLANET will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Average to begin, raced 2 wide towards rear, commenced move after passing 500M, 5 lengths back turning in, made good progress in straight to take a place.

In the early stages raced keenly and near the 1000 Metres got its head up when being checked away from CHATEAUNEUF.

Bumped start, raced 2 wide in midfield, 3 wide from 500M, commenced move 400M, finished off strongly to score.

After the event H Bentley stated that when he had concern with his mount’s action from the 600 Metres he eased it down from the event when he felt there may be something amiss. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of WOLF COMING, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, WOLF COMING will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
