Moderately away from gate 1, raced at rear, 4 lengths back in the middle stages, commenced move approaching 400M, showed very good response, took the lead near 75M, kept on well to the line.

Near the 100 Metres was shifted to the inside of KIAMA to continue into clear running. SPARKLE AND GOLD then lay in over the final 100 Metres. Noted to have lost its right front plate after the race.

After arriving at the starting gates was found to be coughing and have a nasal discharge. Acting on veterinary advice that THE ALL OUT was unsuitable to race it was withdrawn by order of the Stewards. A subsequent endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucus in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, THE ALL OUT will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
