Jumped with them, raced 2 wide behind midfield, travelled keenly in the early stages, angled out and moved a bit closer after passing 900M, no cover from 800M, 4Ls back turning in, weakened early in straight, eased final 200M.

K De Melo pleaded guilty to a careless riding charge for causing interference shortly after the start (see CHARMING BABE).

Jumped well, positioned 1 to 2 lengths behind the leader on the inside, saved ground on turn, kept on well in straight to take a place, no threat to the first two.

The tongue tie was replaced on arrival at the Start. Jumped only fairly. Near the 500 Metres was steadied away from STORM RIDER when that runner shifted out slightly. After the event Z Purton stated that his mount, which was having its first race start at Happy Valley, was obliged to race wide and without cover and as a result did not appreciate racing around the Happy Valley circuit. Noted to have lost its right hind plate after the race. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Jumped only fairly. After the event K Teetan stated that whilst he was obliged to race three wide he had cover behind LO PAN SPIRIT. He said in the Home Straight SOLID CAR finished the race off only fairly when placed under pressure. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.

K De Melo (GOLDEN EMPIRE) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that shortly after the start he permitted his mount to shift in when not clear of CHARMING BABE, resulting in CHARMING BABE having to be checked. K De Melo was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence on Wednesday, 11 June 2025 and to expire on Sunday, 15 June 2025 on which day he may resume race riding (2 Hong Kong racedays). In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 2 and also considered his good race riding record.

Began well, raced 2 wide, a length or so back, dropped to midfield on turn, 2 to 3 lengths back at 400M, peaked early in straight, ran on evenly to the line.

Approaching the 1100 Metres raced in restricted room between CHARMING BABE and SOLID CAR and as a result commenced to race keenly.

Was found to have skin disease after arriving at the Happy Valley Racecourse. Was examined by the Veterinary Officer and found not to be suitable to start. Acting on this advice VICTORY MOMENTS was withdrawn by order of the Stewards. Before being allowed to race again, VICTORY MOMENTS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
