Away with them, raced 2 wide in midfield, 5 lengths or so back, commenced move 400M, very wide into straight, finished off well to take a place.
Incident Report
When questioned, H Bowman stated that from an inside barrier his instructions were, if possible to hold a slightly more forward position. He said LOVEISINTHEAIR jumped awkwardly, made contact with the right side of its barrier and as a result settled a little further back than intended. When questioned regarding his riding in the Home Straight H Bowman stated that LOVEISINTHEAIR, which was having its third race start, did not appreciate racing amongst horses and as a result he was reluctant to force his mount to improve between NORTHERN FIRE BALL and SPICY SPANGLE. He said when he observed NORTHERN FIRE BALL to shift out away from the rail near the 200 Metres he then considered allowing his mount to improve to the inside of NORTHERN FIRE BALL as it was already shifting in towards the running rail. He said when NORTHERN FIRE BALL did not leave sufficient room for LOVEISINTHEAIR to improve to its inside he was obliged to stop riding with the whip and direct LOVEISINTHEAIR to the outside of NORTHERN FIRE BALL approaching the 50 Metres to ensure his mount obtained clear running to the finish. After considering his explanation the Stewards found the tactics adopted by Jockey Bowman were reasonable in the circumstances.
Jumped only fairly, raced behind midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, made good progress in straight to make frame without threatening.

Incident Report
Leaving the 1100 Metres made contact with MASTER OF HUMOR and became unbalanced as it was being shifted behind that runner to obtain cover. After the event, K Teetan reported that his mount raced too keenly in the early and middle stages and as a result did not respond to his riding when placed under pressure in the Home Straight. Trainer C S Shum stated that TRIUMPHANT WARRIOR was disadvantaged by racing keenly throughout the event which restricted its ability to run on in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, TRIUMPHANT WARRIOR will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Sent for sampling post-race.
