After the event, K Teetan stated that his mount did not appreciate racing in amongst other horses but gave ground under pressure in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of MASK RIDER was considered disappointing as compared to its previous race start. Before being allowed to race again, MASK RIDER will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Taken back from a wide draw, raced at tail, 9 lengths or so back turning in, made very good progress in straight to take 2nd, no threat to the winner.

After the event, M L Yeung reported that his saddle slipped back at the start, placing him at some disadvantage during the race.

After the event, C L Chau stated that his mount was disadvantaged by racing on the pace with the early stages of the event being run inside of standard time. He said as a result SPORTS LEGEND gave ground in the Home Straight but was still disappointing. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of SPORTS LEGEND was considered disappointing as compared to its previous race starts. Before being allowed to race again, SPORTS LEGEND will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
