Crowded shortly after start, raced towards rear on the inside, 2 wide turning in, finished off very strongly to score.

Incident Report
After travelling a short distance was steadied when crowded between CALIFORNIA MOXIE and SOLAR GOGO, both of which shifted ground slightly. Held up for clear running between the 450 Metres and the 300 Metres. Sent for sampling post-race.

Began well, raced better than midfield on the inside, easy run to turn, finished off strongly to take 2nd, just beaten by a narrow margin.

Incident Report
Had its left front plate refitted in the holding stables, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race. Over the final 200 Metres shifted out under pressure, resulting in its rider L Hewitson changing his whip through to his left hand near the 100 Metres. Sent for sampling post-race.

Jumped with them, sent forward to take the lead, challenged by rival from 400M, made contact early in straight, kept on well but unable to hold off the first two final 50M.

Made the Home Turn awkwardly, shifted out and brushed with CALIFORNIA MOXIE. Near the 300 Metres CALIFORNIA MOXIE and VERBIER made contact due to both runners shifting ground, resulting in VERBIER becoming unbalanced. After the event, L Ferraris confirmed that from the outside barrier and with his mount stepping up in distance he was instructed to ride it in a forward position. Trainer C Fownes confirmed the instructions issued and said VERBIER had performed well in its most recent barrier trials when ridden in the lead.

Out in line, raced behind midfield on the outside, a bit closer on turn, 4 lengths or so back turning in, made some progress in straight.

Approaching the 1400 Metres became unbalanced when racing tight to the inside of SOLAR GOGO which shifted in and away from HARRY’S HERO. Was left racing wide and without cover from the 700 Metres.

Bumped shortly after start, raced in 2nd, 2 wide, challenged the leader from 400M, made contact early in straight, peaked 200M, weakened final 50M. (See Racing Incidents.)

Shifted out shortly after the start and was bumped. Near the 300 Metres shifted in slightly, made contact with VERBIER and became unbalanced. When commencing to give ground near the 50 Metres shifted in slightly and made contact with WINDICATOR FAMILY when that runner shifted out under pressure slightly. After the event, H Bowman reported that his mount was able to obtain a position outside the lead in the early stages but failed to respond to his riding in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.

Crowded shortly after start, positioned 2 wide in midfield early, raced behind midfield after passing 700M, 5 to 6 lengths back on turn, finished off evenly.

Taken back from a wide draw, raced at rear on the outside, 7 lengths back turning in, made little progress in straight.

Bumped shortly after start, raced in midfield on the outside early, moved a bit closer after passing 950M, found a 2 wide spot 650M, peaked on turn, weakened gradually final furlong.

Jumped awkwardly. Approaching the 200 Metres was eased and shifted to the outside of SOLAR GOGO to continue into clear running. After the event, B Avdulla stated that his mount did not travel well during the race and did not run on in the Home Straight.

After being placed in the starting gates reared and got its right front leg over the front gates for some period of time. Acting on veterinary advice that MR ALADDIN was not suitable to race, the horse was withdrawn by order of the Stewards. The Stewards ruled that MR ALADDIN will be required to attend barrier practice to the satisfaction of the Starter prior to performing satisfactorily in a barrier trial and being subjected to an official veterinary examination before being allowed to race again.

Withdrawn on raceday morning by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (left hind cannon injury). Before being allowed to race again, SUPERB MOVE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
