Shifted in at start and bumped, sent forward to take the lead, travelled well in the middle stages, led by 3/4L turning in, kept on well to the line and scored. (See Racing Incidents.)

Between the 450 Metres and the 300 Metres had some difficulty obtaining clear running when it lay in whilst being shifted to the outside of LEATHER MASTER to obtain clear running.

Away well, raced prominently, 2 wide on turn, kept on well in straight to take a place, always held.

Jumped awkwardly and then from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. For a short distance near the 450 Metres was held up behind MR GOOD VIBES.

Slowly away, raced at tail, 7 lengths back turning in, made no impression in straight.

After the event, M Chadwick confirmed that from a wide barrier and with his mount stepping up in distance he was requested to lead if possible. He said when his mount did not show sufficient pace to cross RED MAVERICK he elected to obtain a position outside that runner in the early stages before giving ground in the Home Straight. He added that SILVER DESTINY would be better suited by being dropped back in distance for its next race start.

Moderately away from gate 1, positioned 3 lengths behind the leader on the inside, same position on turn, finished off well to take 2nd.

Noted to have bled from both nostrils after the race. As this was the second occasion that RED MAVERICK had bled, the horse is permanently barred from any further racing.

On jumping was hampered when taken out by SILVER DESTINY. From the outside barrier was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages. After the event, H Bowman stated that when under pressure in the Home Straight he had some concern with the action of the horse. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Began only fairly, raced behind midfield on the inside, 4 lengths or so back, same margin back on turn, kept to inside after straightening and made some progress. (See Racing Incidents.)

After the event, K Teetan reported that his mount came under pressure in the middle stages, did not finish the race off thereafter and was eased down in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of MR GOOD VIBES, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, MR GOOD VIBES will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
