Began only fairly, positioned 3 lengths behind the leader on the inside, there to turn, finished off strongly, just beaten by a narrow margin.

Began well, sat a length behind the leader on rail, there to turn, showed good response in straight took the lead 200M, kept on well to the line, just held on.

Jumped awkwardly and shortly after was checked when crowded between HAPPY DAILY and WAH MAY WAI WAI which shifted in after being crowded by SKY VINO. Over the final 200 Metres lay in and proved reluctant to shift to the outside of SKY VINO to continue into clear running.

Made contact at start, trapped wide in midfield early, moved a bit closer after passing 1600M, 2 lengths or so back in the middle stages, peaked on run 500M, weakened final 400M.

When being shifted in to obtain cover behind JUMBO FORTUNE approaching the 1500 Metres was steadied away from JUMBO FORTUNE when that runner shifted out and away from TURIN WARRIOR.

From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. In the early part of the Home Straight when placed under pressure raced greenly. Between the 200 Metres and the 100 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running.

Began smartly, sent forward to take the lead, travelled well to turn, peaked and headed 200M, weakened final 100M.

Bumped at the start and became unbalanced. After the event, J Orman advised that from an inside barrier the instructions were to hold a more forward position. He said TURIN WARRIOR jumped well and was able to obtain a position behind the lead without being pressured to do so.

Jumped awkwardly, made contact with the left side of its barrier and lost ground, positioned 4 to 5 lengths behind the leader on the inside, saved ground on turn, taken wide in straight and finished off well to take a place.

When questioned, A Badel stated that when the pace of the event was run outside of standard time he elected to make a forward move from the 1000 Metres to take advantage of its light weight. He said when EN PERFECTO did not show sufficient pace to cross to lead the event, this resulted in the horse being obliged to race wide and without cover for the remainder of the race.

On jumping was checked when badly crowded between TURIN WARRIOR and THE DOUBLE EAGLE which shifted out despite the efforts of its rider. In the middle stages raced keenly. After the 300 Metres was shifted to the inside of THE DOUBLE EAGLE to attempt to obtain clear running. A short distance later was steadied when disappointed for this run when THE DOUBLE EAGLE lay in. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
