Began only fairly, positioned 2 lengths behind the leader on the stands' side, no clear run until final 200M, finished off evenly.

Commenced well, positioned 2 to 3 lengths behind the leader, 2 away from the stands' rail, hard ridden from 300M but only showed limited response, weakened gradually final 100M. (Lame right front leg next day.)

Began well from gate 1, raced slightly behind midfield, nearer to the middle track, 3 to 4 lengths back at 400M, hard ridden 300M but showed no response, weakened thereafter.

Average to begin sent forward to take the lead, travelled comfortably in the middle stages, hard ridden after passing 250M, showed very good response, easily scored, impressive.

Near the 100 Metres became held up for clear running behind LADY’S CHOICE and could not be tested until the concluding stages. After the event, L Hewitson stated that the intention was to hold a more forward position if possible but not to pressure his mount to do so as it has previously been reported as a "roarer”. He said as a result when caught wide in the early stages he elected to ride his mount in a conservative manner in accordance with the instructions issued.

Jumped only fairly, raced towards rear on the stands' side, moved closer in the middle stages, unable to obtain clear run until final 100M, finished off strongly to take 2nd. (See Racing Incidents.)

After the 500 Metres lay in as it endeavoured to improve to the outside of DANCING CODE.

Jumped well, positioned a length behind the leader on the stands' side, hard ridden after passing 400M, kept on well until approaching 100M, weakened gradually close home.

Jumped only fairly. After the event, H Bowman stated that his mount hung in under pressure in the Home Straight and responded only fairly to his riding. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Moderately away, raced better than midfield, hard ridden approaching 350M, kept on well to take a place without threatening.

Lost its right front plate whilst proceeding to the Start. Was replated behind the starting gates, inspected by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race. After the event, Apprentice P N Wong stated that her instructions were to take up a forward position but FLAMING RABBIT did not show sufficient pace to cross runners to her inside which resulted in the horse racing wide and without cover for the majority of the event. She added under pressure in the Home Straight her mount did not respond to her riding and did not fully stretch out. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
