Commenced well, positioned 2 to 3 lengths behind the leader, 2 away from the stands' rail, hard ridden from 300M but only showed limited response, weakened gradually final 100M. (Lame right front leg next day.)

Shortly after the start was crowded between RIGHTEOUS ARION and CRIMSON FLASH which shifted out despite the efforts of its rider. Sent for sampling post-race.

Stumbled as stalls opened and missed break, raced at rear throughout, never a factor. (See Racing Incidents.)

Slowly away, raced towards rear of the main group, 6 lengths back at 400M, made no progress thereafter.

Shortly after the start was hampered when crowded by BLAZING WIND which shifted out. In this incident, CRIMSON FLASH then shifted out and away from BLAZING WIND, made contact with FAST NETWORK and became unbalanced.

Jumped well, positioned a length behind the leader on the stands' side, hard ridden after passing 400M, kept on well until approaching 100M, weakened gradually close home.

Jumped only fairly, raced towards rear on the stands' side, moved closer in the middle stages, unable to obtain clear run until final 100M, finished off strongly to take 2nd. (See Racing Incidents.)

On jumping was bumped by CALL ME GLORIOUS which shifted out.

Slightly slow out, raced towards rear, made no progress final 400M.

Near the 900 Metres, when racing keenly, got its head up when being steadied to avoid CRIMSON FLASH (L Hewitson) which shifted in when not clear. L Hewitson was reprimanded.

Made contact with the left side of its barrier on jumping, always outpaced and behind.

Shortly after the start was bumped on the hindquarters and became unbalanced. After the event, A Badel stated that his mount did not show sufficient pace to hold a more forward position and was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event. He added in the Home Straight RIGHTEOUS ARION finished the race off in a one-paced manner. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Average to begin sent forward to take the lead, travelled comfortably in the middle stages, hard ridden after passing 250M, showed very good response, easily scored, impressive.

Near the 250 Metres shifted in and away from FAST NETWORK and then was steadied away from WONDERSTAR when that runner shifted out before being corrected by its rider Y L Chung. After the event, M F Poon stated that his mount travelled keenly during the race and finished the race off only fairly in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Began well from gate 1, raced slightly behind midfield, nearer to the middle track, 3 to 4 lengths back at 400M, hard ridden 300M but showed no response, weakened thereafter.

After the event, A Atzeni stated that his mount did not travel well at any stage of the event and failed to respond to his riding in the Home Straight. He added that he had concern with the horse’s action during the race. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of MEOWTH, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, MEOWTH will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Withdrawn on raceday morning by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (fever). Before being allowed to race again, SAVVY BRILLIANT will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
