3HELENE FEELING班德禮

Began well, raced 2 wide better than midfield, commenced move after passing 550M, 3 wide turning in, showed limited response early in straight, weakened gradually final 50M. (See Racing Incidents.)

Incident Report
When questioned regarding his riding in the middle stages and as to whether there was an opportunity to improve forward to the outside of RED HARE KING to prevent that runner taking him wider, H Bentley stated that as his mount was coming back slightly in distance and races best when able to build momentum, he was reluctant to encourage his mount forward approaching the 1000 Metres to race in advance of RED HARE KING. He said the decision not to do so was also influenced by the fact that HELENE FEELING was up in weight tonight carrying 133 lbs and he felt the most important factor when riding the horse was to ensure that it travelled comfortably and was able to build momentum into the race. He said for this reason making the turn near the 1000 Metres HELENE FEELING was taken wider by RED HARE KING and when SENOR TOBA then improved to the inside of RED HARE KING, his mount was obliged to race wide and without cover thereafter.

4SENOR TOBA艾兆禮

Shifted in at start and made contact, raced 2 wide behind midfield, 3 wide from 600M, closer on turn, very wide into straight, made some progress early in straight, peaked 100M, ran on evenly to the line.

Incident Report
When questioned, Z Purton stated that from the outside barrier he was instructed to ride his mount in a conservative manner in the early stages. Trainer C S Shum confirmed the instructions and stated that he issued such instructions as MOMENTS IN TIME had raced too keenly at its last start and had performed well when ridden in a conservative manner on 4 December 2024. Both Mr Shum and Jockey Purton advised that MOMENTS IN TIME was disadvantaged by settling back in the field when the early stages of the race was run outside of standard time. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.
