Taken back from a wide draw, raced towards rear on the outside, very wide into straight, one-paced in the run home.

On jumping was crowded between SOLID WIN and TAMRA BLITZ which shifted out. Sent for sampling post-race.

Jumped awkwardly. Near the 900 Metres got its head up when being steadied to avoid SOLID CAR. Between the 350 Metres and the 300 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when being shifted to the outside of PACKING ANGEL.

Made contact at start, raced 2 wide towards rear, angled out 500M, 4 lengths or so back turning in, made little progress in straight.

Bumped at the start. Raced keenly in the early stages and near the 1200 Metres was steadied away from ANOTHER WORLD.

Began smartly from a wide draw, raced slightly better than midfield on the outside, no cover on turn, finished off evenly.

Jumped well from gate 1, sent forward to take the lead, led by a length turning in, peaked and headed approaching 200M, weakened final 100M.

Jumped only fairly and blundered shortly after the start, raced 2 wide behind midfield, found rail after passing 900M, saved ground on turn, unable to obtain clear run until final 100M, finished off strongly to score by a neck.

Crowded start, raced at rear, 5 to 6 lengths back turning in, made good progress in straight to be nearest on line.

Bumped at the start. After the event, H Bentley stated that his mount was disadvantaged by racing wide and without cover back in the field and as a result did not finish the race off in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported.

Over the final 100 Metres was held up for clear running and as a result could not be ridden out to the finish of the event.

When questioned, Apprentice E C W Wong stated that his instructions from a wide barrier were to endeavour to obtain a position with cover behind midfield. He said KAHOLO ANGEL jumped well today and he then immediately endeavoured to comply with his instructions to obtain cover. He said as he did so in the early stages KAHOLO ANGEL raced too keenly and when left racing wide he elected to allow KAHOLO ANGEL to stride forward where it was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Began well from a wide draw, raced in midfield on the outside, 3 lengths or so back turning in, made good progress in straight to take a place, bumped close home.

The Stewards inquired into the reason for J Melham being declared as the rider of LUCKY COMBINATION when she was unable to fulfil that engagement due to travel commitments. As such permission was given for A Badel to be substituted as the rider of LUCKY COMBINATION. After interviewing Jockey Melham and Trainer F C Lor, they were both advised that they should make all proper enquiries to ensure that the engagements are able to be fulfilled. On jumping made contact with the right side of its barrier and shortly after shifted in and bumped THE ABSOLUTE.
