After being placed into the starting gates reared, was removed and passed suitable to start. Before being allowed to race again, AURIO will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. Shifted in abruptly on jumping and was bumped. Making the Home Turn was held up for clear running behind HOLMES A COURT. Leaving the 400 Metres was steadied and shifted to the outside of HOLMES A COURT to obtain clear running.

Moderately away, raced in midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, finished off evenly.

Near the 500 Metres was eased to avoid PRINCE OF PORTY when PRINCE OF PORTY shifted out to improve. After the event, M Chadwick reported that his mount failed to travel after crossing HOLMES A COURT in the middle stages and finished the race off only fairly in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.

On jumping was checked when crowded between FUN ELITE which was taken out by LADY’S CHOICE and AURIO which shifted in abruptly.

Began smartly from gate 1, raced better than midfield on the inside, 2 wide from 750M, showed very good response in straight, took the lead 300M, kept on well to the line and scored.

Fast into stride, took the early lead, headed near 900M, allowed rival to cross approaching 750M, sat right behind the leader on turn, not enough room early in straight, ran on evenly thereafter.

Near the 300 Metres was momentarily crowded between VICTORY SKY and STORMING DRAGON, both of which shifted ground slightly. After the event, C Y Ho reported that he was not given any specific instructions. He said when unable to obtain cover INVINCIBLE SHIELD raced very wide and without cover for the majority of the event before giving ground in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Bumped start, unable to slot in, raced in midfield on the outside, no cover throughout, dropped towards rear 500M, made no progress in straight.

Reared after being placed into the starting gates and struck its head. Acting on veterinary advice that HALO OF SUCCESS was not suitable to race, the horse was withdrawn by order of the Stewards. The Stewards ruled that HALO OF SUCCESS will be required to attend barrier practice to the satisfaction of the Starter prior to performing satisfactorily in a barrier trial and being subjected to an official veterinary examination before allowed to race again.
