Away with them, raced in 3rd, 2 wide, same position on turn, hit the front 200M, kept on strongly to the line, won by 2 lengths.

Quickly into stride, took the early lead, headed approaching 900M, 2nd on turn, peaked early in straight, weakened and eased final furlong. (See Racing Incidents.)

From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Approaching the 150 Metres shifted in and made contact with NATURAL STORM.

Began well from gate 1, positioned 2 lengths behind the leader on rail, saved ground on turn, angled out 350M, made some progress early in straight, peaked 100M, weakened gradually thereafter.

On jumping was crowded for room between CALIFORNIA VOCE and STELLAR GRANDE which was positioned tight to the inside of FRANTANCK. Bumped near the 150 Metres. Noted to have sustained a minor abrasion to the right front leg.

Taken back from gate 9, raced at tail, 6 lengths or so back, same margin back on turn, made very good progress in straight to take a place, nearest finish. (See Racing Incidents.)

From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Near the 250 Metres raced tight between SIMPLE HEDGE and WINNING STEPS. Approaching the 100 Metres improved into a narrow run between SHARPEN BRIGHT and CALIFORNIA VOCE and raced tight for a short distance thereafter between those two runners.

Bumped start, raced 3 wide in midfield early, 2 wide from 900M, 3 lengths back turning in, finished off well to take 2nd without threatening the winner.

Bumped shortly after the start. After the event, B Avdulla reported that his mount failed to run out the 2200 Metres of tonight’s race. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. <27/12/2024 Additional Veterinary Reports>After the race, CALIFORNIA VOCE was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings. CALIFORNIA VOCE was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer A S Cruz this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its left front leg. Before being allowed to race again, CALIFORNIA VOCE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Made contact at start, raced at rear on the inside, 5 lengths or so back, showed limited response early in straight, weakened inside final furlong. (See Racing Incidents.)

After the event, A Atzeni reported that his mount failed to run out the 2200 Metres of tonight’s race. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Jumped well from a wide draw, sent forward to race prominently, took the lead approaching 900M, led by 3/4L turning in, peaked and headed 200M, weakened gradually final 100M.

When questioned, L Hewitson stated that his instructions were to lead the event, but he was advised not to excessively restrain the horse as it has a respiratory condition and has been reported as a "roarer”. He said after leading the event in the early stages, near the 1600 Metres FRANTANCK raced keenly and lay in which resulted in it making contact with the running rail near the 1200 Metres. He said whilst he was aware he was setting a fast pace, having regard to his instructions not to excessively restrain his mount, FRANTANCK set a faster pace than he would have liked despite his best endeavours to restrain his mount in accordance with his instructions. He added that as a result of the manner in which FRANTANCK raced throughout the early and middle stages it gave ground in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer’ which had previously been reported.

Bumped start, raced behind midfield on the outside, very wide into straight, one-paced in the run home.

Withdrawn on 25.12.24 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (left front suspensory ligament injury). Before being allowed to race again, SO WE SING will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
