Moderately away from the widest draw, raced in midfield on the outside, moved a bit closer after passing 750M, 2 lengths or so back turning in, finished off well to take 2nd, always just held.

Raced keenly in the early stages and near the 900 Metres was steadied away from TRIUMPHANT WARRIOR. Between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres was held up for clear running.

Bumped start, took the early lead, headed 1150M, positioned 1 out 1 back in the middle stages, angled out 500M, retook the lead 300M, kept on well to the line and scored.

Taken back from gate 13, raced 3 wide with cover behind midfield, a bit closer on turn, closed off well to take a place without threatening the first two.

After the event, K C Leung reported that his mount raced keenly in the middle stages and finished the race off only fairly in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported. <23/12/2024 Additional Veterinary Report>After the race, SUPER WISE DRAGON was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time the horse was found to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported. SUPER WISE DRAGON was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer W K Mo this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its left front leg. Before being allowed to race again, SUPER WISE DRAGON will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Bumped shortly after start, raced 2 wide behind midfield, angled out 500M, 4 to 5 lengths back turning in, not enough room early in straight, made minor progress thereafter.

Shortly after the start raced tight between DEAL COMPLETED and SWEET SMILE which was taken in by GALLANT EPOCH. From the 400 Metres until the 300 Metres was held up for clear running behind DEAL COMPLETED and near the 300 Metres was checked to avoid DEAL COMPLETED and shifted out where it secured clear running thereafter. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Began only fairly, raced towards rear on the inside, saved ground on turn, no clear run until final 100M, kept on same pace to the line.

Bumped at the start. After the event, H Bowman reported that he was obliged to make some use of his mount in the early stages to hold a position outside the lead. He said WIN SPEED did not settle during the early and middle stages and gave ground in the Home Straight. Trainer M Newnham agreed with the comments made by Jockey Bowman but also indicated that WIN SPEED would derive benefit from today’s performance as it had had over four weeks from its last race start. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of WIN SPEED was considered disappointing as compared to its previous race starts. Before being allowed to race again, WIN SPEED will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Jumped with them, raced behind midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, no clear run in straight, not able to test properly.

Lost its right front plate in the saddling area and made contact with a rail. This plate was refitted. BEAUTY INVINCIBLE was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race. Jumped only fairly. When placed under pressure in the Home Straight shifted out abruptly, resulting in its rider Y L Chung having to stop riding and straighten his mount. BEAUTY INVINCIBLE lay out for the remainder of the event. The racing manners of BEAUTY INVINCIBLE were considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, BEAUTY INVINCIBLE will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial in Hong Kong. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Out with rest, raced 2 wide towards rear, angled out 600M, 4-1/2L back turning in, kept on same pace in straight.

Near the 500 Metres was bumped by ROMAN CROWN which shifted out. After the event, H Bentley reported that the instructions were to endeavour to obtain a midfield position with cover. He said in the early stages he was unable to comply with his instructions when a number of runners to his inside held their position which resulted in DEAL COMPLETED racing very wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
