Began fairly and made contact, raced in 2nd, 2 wide, same position on turn, peaked early in straight, weakened final furlong. (See Racing Incidents.)

Incident Report
Crowded at the start. Passing the 250 Metres was checked to avoid CANDLELIGHT DINNER which, after laying in in the early part of the Home Straight, then shifted out abruptly away from YOUTHFUL SPIRITS as it was being corrected by its rider K Teetan. Sent for sampling post-race.

Made contact at start, raced towards rear, 5 lengths back on turn, very wide into straight, made good progress in the run home, nearest finish.

Bumped on the hindquarters at the start. Near the 800 Metres Jockey L Ferraris was required to reposition his foot in the stirrup. Sent for sampling post-race.

On jumping was crowded between CELESTIAL HARMONY and MIDORI GLORY, both of which shifted ground. Approaching the 400 Metres was held up for clear running behind MIDORI GLORY.

Began awkwardly and made contact, taken back to race at tail, 4 to 5 lengths back on turn, finished off very strongly to score. (A cut to the right front leg.)

Approaching the 350 Metres raced tight to the inside of DO YOUR PART after obtaining a narrow run between DO YOUR PART and CELESTIAL HARMONY.

Slowly away, raced 2 wide behind midfield, commenced move 500M, very wide into straight, kept on same pace in straight.

Began well, positioned 2 lengths behind the leader on rail, saved ground on turn, peaked early in straight, ran on evenly to the line.

After the 300 Metres was steadied when momentarily crowded by ATOMIC FORCE which shifted out slightly.

On jumping was checked when it shifted in and away from SPORTS LEGEND, resulting in it making contact with the hindquarters of YOUTHFUL SPIRITS.

Made contact at start, raced behind midfield on the inside, angled out 400M, closed off well to take a place, no threat to the first two.

Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Made contact at start, raced 2 wide, 3 lengths or so back, peaked on run 400M, weakened early in straight. (Roarer.)

Shifted out at the start and was bumped on the hindquarters, resulting in MIDORI GLORY and A Pouchin becoming unbalanced. After the event, A Pouchin reported that his intention was to be more forward in the race, but after jumping awkwardly and becoming unbalanced at the start, his mount settled further back and found it difficult to respond when asked for an effort in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Jumped well from gate 1, sent forward to take the lead, led by 1/2L turning in, kept on well in straight but unable to hold off the winner close home.

Lay in in the early part of the Home Straight and passing the 250 Metres ran out as it was being corrected by its rider. The racing manners of CANDLELIGHT DINNER were considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, CANDLELIGHT DINNER will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial where it is required to be ridden out to the finish of that trial. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
