After the event, J McDonald stated that his mount was obliged to race wide and without cover from the outside barrier and as a result did not respond to his riding in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Away well, positioned 1-1/2L behind the leader on the inside, angled out 500M, no clear run early in straight, cleared 300M, peaked 200M, weakened gradually final 100M.

After the event, K De Melo reported that his mount did not appreciate racing in amongst other horses in the early and middle stages. He added when shifted to the outside on straightening WINNING GOLD finished the race off only fairly. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Moderately away from gate 1, raced in midfield on the inside, angled out after passing 500M, showed good response in straight, took the lead 250M, kept on very well to the line and scored.

Jumped awkwardly and lost ground. After the event, C Y Ho reported that near the 1100 Metres he became concerned with his mount’s action behind and as a result he retired it from the event shortly after. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be lame in its right hind leg. Before being allowed to race again, STAR GLOW will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
