After the event, L Ferraris stated that his mount, which was having its first start on the All Weather Track, did not appreciate racing on the surface. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

After the event, K De Melo stated that when he was concerned there was something amiss with his mount near the 150 Metres and when not in a competitive position, he eased it down from the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of MAGNIAC was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, MAGNIAC will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
