Moderately away from gate 12, raced in 2nd, 2 wide, same position on turn, peaked early in straight, ran on evenly to the line. (See Racing Incidents.)

After the 400 Metres attempted a narrow run between SWORD POINT and MOMENTS IN TIME. When MOMENTS IN TIME shifted out, LA CITY BLANCHE was then disappointed for clear running before being shifted to the inside of MOMENTS IN TIME near the 300 Metres to obtain a clear run. Sent for sampling post-race.

Out with rest, raced behind midfield on the outside, very wide turning in, passed some tired runners in straight.

Shifted out at the start and was bumped. When questioned, C Y Ho stated that after obtaining a position behind FLAMING RABBIT in the early stages, when FLAMING RABBIT was then steadied to obtain a position on the rail, CHANCHENG GLORY commenced to race keenly, struck the heels of FLAMING RABBIT and blundered.

Began only fairly, positioned 2 wide, 5 lengths or so back, commenced move after passing 750M, very wide into straight, kept on well in straight to take a place without threatening the first two.

Jumped with them, raced 2 wide in midfield, 4 lengths back, angled out 600M, wide into straight, peaked early in straight, weakened thereafter. (See Racing Incidents.)

Began well from gate 9, raced 2 wide slightly better than midfield, 3 wide from 500M, finished off well to take 2nd, no threat to the winner.

When questioned regarding the performance of the horse, Z Purton stated that his mount was disadvantaged by the early stages of the event being run slightly outside of standard time, but due to the pace increasing from the 1000 Metres MASSIVE SOVEREIGN took some time to respond to his riding from the 600 Metres. He added in the Home Straight MASSIVE SOVEREIGN finished the race off fairly and its run might have peaked close to the 100 Metres. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.

Shifted out at start and bumped, raced 3 wide at rear, angled out after passing 550M, very wide into straight, peaked early in straight, weakened final 150M. (See Racing Incidents.)

From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Raced keenly in the early stages. Lay out on the Home Turn and in the Home Straight.

Made contact with the left side of its barrier on jumping, raced better than midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, kept on well early in straight, peaked on run 200M, weakened gradually final 150M.

From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. When finishing the race off well could not be ridden out to the winning post when improving close to CHANCHENG GLORY.

Jumped only fairly, raced behind midfield on the inside, angled out 600M, 3 lengths back turning in, made no impression in straight. (Lame right front leg next day morning.)

Clean jump, sent forward to take the lead, travelled comfortably in the middle stages, kept on very well in straight and scored.

When caught wide in the early stages was allowed to stride forward near the 1100 Metres when it was able to take up a position outside the lead.

Crowded on jumping, raced 3 wide better than midfield, no cover throughout, peaked 450M, weakened early in straight.
