Began well from gate 1, raced in midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, angled out 400M, no daylight run early in straight, cleared 250M, finished off evenly.

Began smartly, positioned 1-1/2L behind the leader on rail, angled out 450M, showed limited response early in straight, weakened gradually inside final furlong.

Jumped only fairly. Near the 550 Metres shifted out when making the turn awkwardly and made contact with ONE FOR ALL. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Jumped with them, positioned 2 wide, a length or so back, shared lead 600M, peaked and headed 450M, weakened early in straight, eased thereafter. (Bled.) (See Racing Incidents.)

Jumped awkwardly. Making the turn approaching the 700 Metres was badly crowded between ONE FOR ALL and KA YING CHEER (Apprentice P N Wong) which, after being crossed by PACKING BOLE and racing keenly, was shifted out abruptly to avoid the heels of PACKING BOLE. After considering the evidence, the Stewards found that the racing manners of KA YING CHEER and the manner in which Apprentice Wong had positioned her mount and endeavoured to provide herself with sufficient clearance behind PACKING BOLE were the contributing factors for the interference occurring. The Stewards, under the provisions of Rule 12(46) , referred Apprentice Wong to the riding skills panel for mentoring and remedial training in this area. After the event, Z Purton stated that his mount took some time to respond to his riding in the early stages to hold an on-pace position. He said after being crowded near the 700 Metres SUPER WIN DRAGON came under pressure and failed to finish the race off strongly thereafter. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Away with them, raced behind midfield on the outside, 3-1/2L back turning in, closed off well to take a place, no threat to the first two.

Near the 700 Metres was crowded between HONG KONG HALL and SUPER WIN DRAGON. Bumped near the 550 Metres. Approaching the 400 Metres was steadied when disappointed for clear running between VICTORY MOMENTS and HONG KONG HALL.

Slightly slow out, raced at tail, 6 lengths or so back turning in, failed to close off in straight.

On jumping was bumped by ALPHA ONE which shifted out. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported.

Jumped well, raced 2 wide in midfield, peaked on turn, weakened early in straight. (See Racing Incidents.) (Lame left hind leg next day morning.)

After the event, M F Poon stated that his mount jumped awkwardly which resulted in him having to ride his mount along to take up a forward position. He said due to the fast early pace HONG KONG HALL was obliged to race wide and without cover and as a result in the Home Straight was left without a finishing effort. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be lame in its right hind leg. The performance of HONG KONG HALL, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, HONG KONG HALL will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
