Began only fairly, raced at rear on the outside, improved on turn, 2 to 3 lengths back turning in, finished off well to take 2nd without threatening the winner.

Near the 250 Metres made contact with CHILL EASY due to both runners shifting ground. Sent for sampling post-race.

Out with rest, raced 2 wide better than midfield, there to turn, showed limited response early in straight, kept on same pace to the line.

Jumped well, sent forward to take the lead, headed approaching 700M, retook the lead 500M, kept on very well in straight and won by a length. (See Racing Incidents.)

Shifted out at the start and was bumped. Trainer B Crawford confirmed that the instructions were to go forward and lead today as it did in its barrier trial on 7 May 2026 when it was able to lead and win that trial.

Shortly after the start was crowded between CITY GOLD BANNER and LADY’S LOVE which shifted out. Near the 1100 Metres was steadied to avoid CITY GOLD BANNER (B Avdulla) which shifted in when racing tight to the inside of DARYL FLASH. B Avdulla was advised to exercise more care. Approaching the 800 Metres was steadied to avoid DARYL FLASH when racing keenly.

Jumped only fairly. After travelling a short distance was steadied when crowded between MR ENERGIA which was taken out slightly and ENDEARED (A Atzeni) which shifted in. A Atzeni was advised to exercise more care.

Taken back from the widest draw, raced 2 wide towards rear, 4 lengths or so back turning in, angled out early in straight, cleared 300M, finished off evenly.

A Atzeni stated that his mount did not appreciate the "Yielding” track conditions. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Average to begin, raced in midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, no clear run early in straight, cleared after passing 300M, failed to make any progress thereafter. (Roarer.) (See Racing Incidents.)

Shortly after the start was crowded between DARYL FLASH and WINDLORD.

Moderately away from gate 1, sat right behind the leader on the inside, saved ground throughout, peaked early in straight, weakened gradually final furlong.

Near the 550 Metres was steadied to avoid LADY’S LOVE. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Jumped with them, raced behind midfield on the outside, commenced move 800M, took the lead approaching 700M, headed 500M, kept on well until final 100M, stayed on evenly to take a place.

Taken back to race behind midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, made some progress early in straight, peaked 150M, weakened gradually thereafter.

Slightly slow out and made contact, raced at rear on the inside, angled out 550M, 5 to 6 lengths back turning in, passed some tired runners in straight.

Noted to have blood in the mouth at the Start, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race. Fractious in the starting gates, resulting in its right hind leg becoming momentarily caught in the barriers. Was removed from the barriers, again examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. J Moreira stated that his mount travelled well throughout the early and middle stages but when placed under pressure in the Home Straight weakened. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of PATONGA HEART, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, PATONGA HEART will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
