Jumped with them, raced 2 wide at rear, 5 lengths or so back turning in, made no progress in straight. (See Racing Incidents.)

Shortly after the start became unbalanced when bumped by TACTICAL COMMAND which shifted out slightly. Sent for sampling post-race.

Out with rest, raced 2 wide behind midfield, very wide turning in, finished off strongly to take 2nd, just beaten by a narrow margin.

Away well, raced 2 wide better than midfield, moved closer on turn, showed good response in straight, took the lead 150M, kept on well to the line, just able to hold off the challenger late.

Away with them, sent forward to race prominently on the outside, took the lead 1100M, found rail after passing 900M, led by a length on turn, peaked and headed 150M, weakened final 100M.

Shortly after the start shifted out and made contact with LEADING AGILITY. As a result TACTICAL COMMAND then shifted in and made contact with JOLLY COMPANION.

Moderately away, raced towards rear on the outside, very wide turning in, made minor progress in straight.

After travelling a short distance was bumped by TACTICAL COMMAND.

Bumped shortly after start, raced 3 wide, a length or so back, 2 wide from 800M, same margin back on turn, peaked early in straight, weakened thereafter. (See Racing Incidents.)

Throughout the early and middle stages raced keenly and refused to settle. After shifting to the rail near the 700 Metres then raced keenly for some distance thereafter. Near the 600 Metres JUMBO BLESSING shifted out when positioned close to AMAZING VICTORY and as a result made contact with VIGOR EYE. J Moreira stated that when placed under pressure in the Home Straight his mount finished the race off only fairly. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.

Began awkwardly and made contact, sent forward to take the early lead, headed 1100M, positioned 1 to 2 lengths behind the leader in the middle stages, peaked early in straight, weakened final 100M.

Near the 300 Metres was hampered when taken wider by JUMBO BLESSING which lay out. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Crowded start, raced at rear on the inside, saved ground on turn, showed limited response early in straight, weakened final 100M. (See Racing Incidents.)

M F Poon stated that after settling towards the back of the field his mount found it difficult to make up ground from that position in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Bumped shortly after start, raced in midfield on the inside, angled out after passing 450M, 3-1/2L back turning in, finished off evenly.

Near the 600 Metres made contact with JUMBO BLESSING when that runner shifted out whilst racing keenly. Z Purton stated that he rode his mount along in the early stages to attempt to take up a forward position. He said VIGOR EYE did not show as much pace as it did at its previous race start which resulted in it settling further back than intended. He said throughout the middle stages VIGOR EYE, which is still relatively inexperienced, did not appreciate racing amongst other horses before giving ground in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of VIGOR EYE, a last start winner, was considered disappointing. Before being allowed to race again, VIGOR EYE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
