Out with rest, positioned 4-1/2L behind the leader on the inside, commenced move near 500M, showed very good response in straight, took the lead approaching 100M, kept on well to the line and scored.

Average to begin, sent forward to race in 2nd, 2 wide, challenged the leader turning in, took the lead 400M, peaked and headed approaching 100M, stayed on evenly to take 2nd.

Jumped well, raced 2 wide better than midfield, hard ridden from 450M, kept on well in straight to take a place, not quite able to challenge.

Shortly after the start was hampered when crowded briefly between PHANTOM CYCLONE and SMART CITY which shifted out slightly.

Began well from gate 1, raced better than midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, made some progress early in straight, peaked 150M, weakened gradually close home.

Passing the 250 Metres shifted to the inside of ORIENTAL SURPRISE and a short distance later was steadied when disappointed for that run when ORIENTAL SURPRISE shifted in slightly.

Jumped only fairly, raced in midfield, 2 wide, angled out after passing 550M, 4 lengths back turning in, peaked early in straight, kept on evenly to the line.

From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. In the early stages raced keenly and for some distance leaving the 1400 Metres was steadied from the heels of PHANTOM CYCLONE. LUCKY GENERATIONS continued to race keenly throughout the middle stages and near the 700 Metres was steadied from the heels of HAILTOTHEVICTORS, resulting in LUCKY GENERATIONS shifting out and making contact with SPANGLE FORTUNE.

Taken back from the widest draw, raced at rear on the inside, angled out after passing 500M, made some progress early in straight, peaked 200M, one-paced thereafter.

Jumped with them, raced towards rear on the outside, 7 to 8 lengths back turning in, failed to close off in straight.

Approaching the 400 Metres was steadied when awkwardly placed on the heels of SPANGLE FORTUNE and as a result was shifted out.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, CONCORDE STAR will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

E C W Wong reported that after obtaining the lead in the early stages his mount raced keenly and consequently was unable to finish its race off in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Near the 1500 Metres was eased to avoid the heels of FLOOF which was taken in by ORIENTAL SURPRISE (Apprentice P N Wong). Apprentice Wong was advised to exercise more care. Bumped near the 700 Metres. Apprentice H Y Yuen stated that the instructions were to go forward, but despite riding her mount along in the early stages to obtain a forward position it did not show sufficient pace to do so and as a consequence settled further back in the field than intended. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of SPANGLE FORTUNE, which finished tailed out on the second occasion in recent starts, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, SPANGLE FORTUNE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in consecutive barrier trials and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Clean jump, raced better than midfield but trapped wide, no cover throughout, peaked on turn, weakened early in straight. (See Racing Incidents.)

Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. The performance of FLOOF, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, FLOOF will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Noted to have shifted its right front plate after the race.

Shortly after the start shifted out slightly and made contact with HAILTOTHEVICTORS. Leaving the 1400 Metres was briefly tightened when racing in restricted room between FLOOF and MEEPMEEP which shifted out slightly. Z Purton stated that whilst his mount travelled well throughout the early and middle stages, when he became concerned there may have been something amiss with SMART CITY near the 500 Metres, he elected to ease his mount out of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of SMART CITY, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, SMART CITY will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination which must include additional diagnostic assessments. <3/6/2026 6 May 2026 Sha Tin Racemeeting – Race 1 (665)> Additional diagnostic assessments performed on the horse did not reveal any significant findings.
