Shifted out at start and bumped, sent forward to take the lead, 2 wide, travelled well to turn, hard ridden 300M, kept on well but unable to hold off the first two close home.

Incident Report
Between the 300 Metres and the 250 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running. Sent for sampling post-race.

Bumped start and unbalanced, positioned 3 wide with cover, 2-1/2L back, there to turn, finished off strongly, just beaten by a narrow margin.

Jumped only fairly. After the event, A Badel advised that from his inside barrier he was instructed to ride his mount where comfortable but not lead the event. Trainer C S Shum confirmed the instructions and said such instructions were issued as he felt it was advantageous to race off the pace having regard to the manner in which the earlier races of today’s racemeeting had been run. Sent for sampling post-race.

Began well from gate 1, raced prominently on the inside, there to turn, peaked early in straight, weakened final 250M. (See Racing Incidents.)

Moderately away, raced 2 wide behind midfield, angled out 450M, unable to obtain clear run until approaching final 100M, finished off very strongly, led close home.

Bumped shortly after start, raced towards rear on the inside, peaked on turn, weakened early in straight.

Jumped only fairly. Approaching the 200 Metres was steadied when crowded between ENSUED and WINNING DRAGON (B Avdulla) which shifted out to improve into clear running, resulting in WINNING DRAGON making contact with SUPREME AGILITY and crowding that runner. B Avdulla was reprimanded.

Jumped well from gate 10, unable to slot in, trapped 4 wide, 2 lengths or so back, no cover throughout, finished off evenly. (See Racing Incidents.)

From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Began fairly, positioned 1 to 2 lengths behind the leader on the inside, saved ground on turn, no daylight early in straight, cleared approaching 200M, finished off strongly, nearest finish.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

In the early stages raced keenly. After the event, Apprentice E C W Wong stated that after being taken three wide near the 1100 Metres he was obliged to race without cover thereafter. He said as a result PACKING HURRICANE was obliged to make a long sustained run in the middle stages of the event and as a consequence was left without a finishing effort. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
